maybe the tri-system is in known WC space:the neph wiped out the kilrathi and destroyed the Confedration(possibly earth too)

We're told that it's in a remote corner of known space, and that the Confederation is still around.

And they've also been in the Isaac, Irulan, and Hom Systems for 2000 years. Alien abductions, perhaps?

There was a long discusion about this some time ago. IMO, the people in Tri Systems, the ones who came there first, did come from Earth, but for some reason they didn't want the next generations to know anything about Earth or the Confederation.

Well, if they were there for 2000 years, wouldn't that mean the first humans would arrive in the Tri-System around the year 700 A.D.? Or are you just saying the elders of the Tri-System lied about the 2000 years thing so the normal inhabitants wouldn't find out about Confed?

That's basicly it. The people from the Tri Systems left Earth couple hundred years before the first WC's, and somehow got there, maybe by accident. Anyhow, since they left Earth for some reason or another, they didn't want their kids, and then the next generations to know about Earth or try to find it.

No, it doesn't. It makes no sense whatsoever, as Earthworm should remember from our many previous discussions.
It's pure foolishness - we're talking about changing the history of an entire civilisation. Even if by some miracle the entire group of colonists was in agreement (and remember, there are always dissidents), you'd still have to create the supporting evidence for the future generations to believe in. After all, the future generations are always curious about their past, and sooner or later there would be historians, archaeologists, and of course paleontologists. That means that in order to keep their off-world origins a secret, the colonists would have to seed the entire world(s) with fossilised bones, artifacts, ruins -everything. In short, their tiny, resource-poor colony would have to create a world.

Tell me, what kind of a fool would waste precious resources in a new colony trying to create enough archaeological and historical artifacts to make the future generations think that their civilisation has been around forever? The best analogy for this would be Columbus landing in the New World, and then - instead of trying to get food and shelter - building statues of his American Indian ancestors. Why, his crew would have locked him up in the brig and thrown away the key

.

Please, drop this ridiculous theory

. Not only is it illogical, but also isn't supported in any way by any WC/Priv product. You can do much better than that, Earthworm.
