Rapier III

Is there any info surrounding this fighter? I just named the fighter III because I do not know anything else about it. It was the model was employed first in SWC as the prototype Rapier II. But the model was never reused, except in fan mods. Do we know anything else about it? Weapons? Speed? Shields?

My theory, it probably has comparable speed and agility to other fighters as the other rapiers did to ships of thier time... (did anyone else understand that?)

Anyway, my guess is that the thing carried lasers like all the other models did, but as the Rapier I carried Neutron guns, as did the Prototype of the Rapier II, and then WC2 version carried Particle guns, I think its a decent bet to assume that the third carried Tachyon guns.

Isn't that model used as the basis for the Rapier II variants in Arena? If so, we actually know a lot about this fighter - and that it's actually just the Rapier II, not a new "Rapier III" despite the difference in visual style. (Like how the Tiger's Claw looks different in SWC than it does in WC1. It's still the Tiger's Claw, and not meant to be any different stats-wise)

Super Wing Commander is the same as Wing Commander I with different graphics. It's not a different story or anything.
