Random WC pictures thread

That are really beautiful.

It always surprises me how full-of-character the WC1-Priv game art is, and how not out-of-date the WC3+ shots look. You have a few blobby things like the planets and nebula effect, but overall, it's amazing how well the engine has held up 16 years later.
 
Privateer artwork is awesome throughout, look at the detail in the bar behind Taryn Cross. Was also thinking the Secret Ops images look pretty good for last millenium.

It was a special treat because it was totally unexpected - not the existence of it; I'd known about it for years and also the rough outline of the mission - but it was the *very first* mission I took on. For some reason P2 seems to leave your SOS receiver off by default, so when I finally realized I had one and turned it on, several seconds later the icon lights up and I get shanghaied - by CIS Special Ops - into rescuing some pilot, in a Straith with no add-ons, in the middle of a cargo run. Nothing says offer you can't refuse like being directly emailed by CIS HQ with the line "Don't even think of turning this one down, Ser Arris." How did they even know who I was, or care? I'm a green pilot with five kills to my name and a few thousand in the bank. I'd barely left meeting with Dr. Loomis on Crius.
