Question for Kris

Hey Chris, do you think they'll ever finish the Homefront Campaign for Starship Troopers?

I would bet no. This seems to be more of a 'fan' thing than anything anyone in power is seriously interested to do -- along the lines of bringing back the 'Babylon 5' game. Sony (?) doesn't even seem interested in releasing the rest of the show on DVD (the asteroid episodes, the clip shows and the other Earth episode)... much less producing more episodes.

I didn't know that about the outer limits.. Strange I've never seen anything on that at all. I haven't really gotten into tv shows on DVD yet though. Hopefully I can hold off.. I've already got a hankering for more volumes in the Starship Troopers series and I think I'm going to start collecting Hamtaro next month.

TV shows on DVD are the best thing ever. Having every episode of Star Trek at my fingertips is like a childhood fantasy come true. Can't wait for DS9 to start.

I don't think it's just a 'fan' thing - it seems so silly to me to have a show with the enemy in your own home, the series approaching a climax and then for the show to just stop. It's so... disappointing. I understand the cost it was to Sony and all but... hmm, this doesn't sound too different from the Prophecy 'trilogy', does it? :/

Oh -- it was a real project (the last few episodes planned got dropped in favor of clip shows)... but the hope that it'll end up actually being made is a fan thing.

Fine, you want to save all these things (and in so doing make a crappy, quick-to-ruin product) -- and then you should pass the savings on to the consumer.

I was just sayin' I don't really think it's that bad. I mean, so what? I have to the hole the discs on the side and in the middle. I do that already.

The quality of the DVD is still poorer than it deserved. Double-Sided DVDs tend to be cheap in comparison to duel layered DVDs.

A double-sided DVD is going to degrade a lot quicker through everyday use than a single-sided one... as anyone who's gone through a whole bunch of WCIV DVDs knows. :)
