212 Squadron - "The Old Man's Eyes And Ears"
When did EA stop printing Wing Commander: Prophecy? I can't seem to find a damne copy anywhere!!

Woo...I'll give that a shot...Now why did Forstchen have to be such a loser and not make any books after (as in timeline, not as in production) WC4?!?!

-J

... because Forstchen only writes what he's paid (and requested) to do... since he didn't have a contract for a WCP novel, and no one would have paid him to write one, he *didn't*.

Loaf, you and I both know thats a ton of Cat Crap. Forstchen shoulda written one, Ed of Story!!!

:)

This is one of those situations where you have to watch what you ask for cause you just might get it, considering all the controversy over the WC4 novel. Besides why would Fortchesen write it? All he did before was write an outline and left it to someone else. It shouldve been the someone else!:)

Theres a bunch of people here who dont think the novel goes with the book while LOAF and a few others say it does. Mainly detail differences that could go either way for the most part.

Now, now, we can't be that self important -- four people on the internet doesn't make a "controversy" big enough for... well, anyone to care. :)

Since False Colors was being printed around when Prophecy came out, a seperate novel couldn't be put out at the same time -- and the WC novels generally only sell well when they're published at the same time as the game.

I think the WC4 novel was really good, though I kinda wish it stuck more to the game. I wish Vagabond's death was in the novel and bunch of little things like that...I did like some little touches, like Paulson's "Come to Jesus" speech and the final battle with Seether. Tolwyn's speech and his words after he was tried are also good!

And yet...

I'm still disappointed...

WC4 was good. Although, if you hadn't played the game yet and didn't know what happened, they kinda spoiled the suprise early on if you paying attention. At the beginning, Blair says he's having a "come to Jesus" meeting with Tolywn. Later, Seether says he's having a "come to Jesus" meeting with the old man.

I wasn't aware the game was meant to go hand-in-hand with the book. I thought is was handled pretty well, short of putting in branching storylines and turning the novel into a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure. :) But for me, who loves ANYTHING Wing Commander, it was fine.

perhaps the reason why mr f. didn't write a P novel was because he wasn't contracted to do as so such it would be copyright infringment to do so
