Problems With WCP

I recentl installed WIng Commander PRophecy on a Amd Athlon 700 mhz comptuerr with a Diamond Stelath s 540 video card and about twenty gigs of hard drive space and plenty of ram. I keep getting messages that say there is not enough disk space to save the game. I can not get the game to save past the second mission although I can get past it if I play through it. Can anyone help?
 
Ugh, I saw something similar with Privateer 2 on a friend's machine with WinXP and 60 Gb HD, with the exception that he couldn't even install. Is your HD also 60 Gb? I don't see why it should matter with WCP... Compressed? Partitioned? Scandisk/Defraged? Virus-scanned?
 
I just had the same problem, but I emailed origin and got the following answer which did work for me. Create a shortcut on your desktop from the CD (disc 1)with the file setup.exe. Then, with this new shortcut, go to propreties and compatibility and make it run under win98 compatibility. This should solve your problem.
