Problems with Secret Ops

Hello, and Merry Christmas to all, but I can't say that mine has been. I tried installing Secret Ops off of the CD. The install works, but the game crashes because it says that glide2x.dll is missing. I downloaded the file and put it in the systems file, but it did nothing. Please assist!

Try setting the video options to use D3D instead of Glide. (that's Direct3D).

I can't even play the game, so I can't get to the options. The only choices on the Select Video Card are Direct3D and 'Software' neither of which change anything.

I just bet your on XP or 2000. So you need to change your compatibility to 98/Me or 95.

Note: I actually didn't bet you anything. Merry Christmas. Going to the girlfriend's.

How do you change the compatibility?

Right click the secret ops exe, go to 'compatibility', tick the box saying 'run this program in compatible mode for' then select win95 from the drop down menu. That should fix the problem.

Btw, you can change it to direct3d mode outside the game in the launcher.
