You can check the readme.txt and try to dw the patch, try installing it.

my laptop doesn't have a joystick port like my big pc does trying to locate one

It also runs a little fast but I can handel it

Runs fast? By saying that, it implies you've already got it running. What's the problem then? I think P2 has a problem with running fast anyway.

Download a slowdown utility. On newer machines P2 is pretty much unplayable

Keyboard is always good. I always say to look at the Tarsus cockpit if you have any arguments.
