Throughout Wing Commander, it has always seemed like Pirate syndicates have been rather ragtag throughout the Confederation and Kilrathi Empire. Thier fighter compliment seems to be restricted to out of date, retired fighters. These fighters included the Razor and the Talon, and at times, BW fighters.

So how then in WC4 do pirates get thier hands on T-bolts? Wouldn't said aquisitions be a rather serious breach of Confed security?
 
The implication is supposed to be that Tolwyn is supplying the pirates - remember that the frigate you destroy was being used as a platform to test the flaspack.

It's part of the catalyst for the story - Seether's squadron joins the Project team on the Lexington to continue operations after the pirate frigate they were operating off of was destroyed.
 
You know, I'm surprised that the pirates in Privateer don't have more Centurions, since those are available on the open market. Surely some of the pirates out there should have enough resources to acquire a few?
