Ginger Lynn IS Ginger Lynn Allen AKA Rachel Coriolis, in case there was any confusion.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand, what I have heard from Origin, and some other internet articles, was that there were originally going to be three big enemy races controlled by an enigmatic leader. The idea being that war and conquest was the popular and approved of life in the enemy society. According to what Origin has told me, through correspondence, is that Blair was feeling rather disaffected by his life because he no longer wanted to be this great war hero, looking on his role in life as little more than a murderer, and found that in the enemy society he didn't have to feel the way he did because of thier values. At the end of Prophecy he disappeared and if the originally planned trilogy had happened then the story would roll out that he left Confed behind for this other society.
Additionally each installment of the trilogy would have each of the three enemy races appearing in their own game with the third game having the final showdown on the otherside of the wormhole with the enigmatic leader race.
The whole thing sounded kind of cool, in the letter that I got from Origin, but it may be little less clear hear.
But I think, if you stick solely with the Bugs as the enemy, I'd do two more games, encompassing SO and UE's storylines in the overall fiction, which start out with an expeditionary force building a foothold in Bug territory prior to the last big push in the third story.
