Noob with most likely a stupid question

I wanted to try Standoff, but I could not find my Secret Ops Disc, so I downloaded from the first mirror on your site.

Downloaded it, unzipped and installed it, but when I try to run the game, I get a crash immediatly, when I bring up an error report I get this.

C:\DOCUME~1\DALEU~\LOCALS~1\Temp\2c45_appcompat.txt

Being pretty much totally PC illiterate when it comes to errors and such, could someone explain to me what this means. It only happens with Secret Ops, the Prophecy plays fine.

I will try playing around with this, but hopes are not high when it comes to me doing this ~~~.
 
Did you set Win9x compatibility mode (provided you use Win2000/XP)?
 
Sounds like some crazy Win XP compatibility error indeed.

Right click the "secretops.exe" (and "standoff.exe" too) file in your SO folder, then click Properties, then go to the Compatibility tab, select "Run program in compatibility mode" and then select Windows 95 from the list.
