I did that my first time out. I just sat there fighting waves of Kilrathi, waiting if I would ever get to Kilrah...

Don't know if any of you has ever tried this, but an other great way to use the nav-map is to revissit old nav points. A lot of times you'll find them swarming with bugs, great for raising kill scores. Also flying from nav one to three and flying from nav two to four will often yield some interesting encounters. I think I managed to kill atleast one extra capship this way and a lot of fighters.

Exactly, but since in most modern games the "y/z" problem is solved I did not try. But I really should have...
