I have a few suggestions for UE2

Bring in the Sabre as a heavy fighter

Have the UBW puchase another Concordia class carrier from Confed (I imagine some like the Lexington will be decommed soon.)

Short answer - no .

Long answer - I don't doubt that the BW still has a few Sabres. But we're not interested in bringing in more WC1/2 ships, so you won't find Sabres in UE2. There is no longer any point to it - if it's another shot of nostalgia you're after, Standoff will take care of it. In UE2, on the other hand, the Sabre would be neither new nor especially impressive (mind you, it would look great in BW colours... but what wouldn't? ).

As for a new (old) carrier, this is something completely beyond the scope of UE2's storyline. Apart from (maybe) a few support ships, you won't see any additional capships in UE2 beyond what was already seen in UE. The only possibility for a Concordia-class carrier to appear in UE2 is if we decide to include another Confed strike group. But this is rather unlikely at this stage, because I don't see how this could be made to fit with our storyline.

It's only destroyed in WCIV if you destroy it. The canon storyline is that it's disabled, as in the novel (if you leech it in WCIV, you get a sequence where it's disabled instead of blown up... all the lights are flashing on and off...).

Definitely no Invincible. The ship probably doesn't have any fighters onboard anyway, and by the time it would be refitted, UE2 would be over.

Yeah people generally don't think about leeching it. Maybe it's Eisen's dramatic speech!

Sounds like you’re are supposed to blow them up, but harmlessly disable their ship. But the optional cutscene was a nice touch.

Invincible?

The Invincible is a second BW Bengal-class carrier that I mentioned in some fiction piece. It's one of those things that, in retrospect, were a big mistake. What the heck was I thinking, anyway? I mean, I knew that inevitably there would be some people who would think that because the BW have two Bengal carriers, it is absolutely vital that they must work together and stuff.

Now that, I don't understand. The Bengal sounds to me to be a lightly escorted strike carrier that is almost stand alone with 100 fighters/bombers. Why put two of these in the same strike group?

I always leeched the Lex... I was into leeching everything back then. I really disliked the idea of shooting down other humans (no matter how wicked they were supposed to be), with, of course, a few exceptions... That just shows how great the WCU is, it made me care...

As to ships and fighters.

Sabres were new in WCII, so they're only slightly older than Excaliburs. With upgraded shields and armor it would probably do pretty well.

Just as an aside, I thought your method of updating the old ships was "interesting".
