need some advice on purchasing a new ship

Right now I'm sporting a seriously beefed up Demon fighter with military specs, but now I'm considering on getting a new vessel because I want some serious firepower. Already know the centurion is the serious heavy weight [read: Gorilla] of fighters, but should I go with a stock model so I can upgrade at my own pleasure or get a military spec. model for the extra cash?
 
Stock gives you more flexibility. You can't sell off stuff you don't like on the preconfigured model (except for guns). Pre configured models won't be available at all in the next version.
