Not to mention that Tcheky Karyo gave one hell of a good performance in the movie.
 
About my sucking up... sucking up to someone is prompted by wanting to gain something from them. Considering I have absolutely nothing to gain by sucking up to any of whoever may be the, as you call them, "big boys" around here, I think it's just foolish to say I'm sucking up to anyone.

As for Mav and the course of this post, I'd be more entertained if we shifted from mocking him to smocking him. Ever considered playing pretend and being a brain surgeon for a day? :D

but Prochnow's character was specificly for the movie. Karyo played a character we were already familiar with, so I credit him with a better performance.
 
I'm not terribly fond of mocking people, and I'm not certain why the phrase "I believe it's said 'Don't go away mad; just go away.' Do I see light at the end of the escape hatch? Run for it mav!" is so much of a mock as an attempt to point out that getting mad at someone who tells you to speak less leads to conflict. I was simply suggesting that we shhh about being confused. I hate being mocked and I hate mocking. However, I was greatly amused by the idea of smocking someone. Can't you picture some nut running around town handing out smocks? Terribly amusing for someone who has a mind as simple as mine... I hope my comments of late were not misconstrued.

As for anyone else who would like to make a show of Mav, leave the fellow alone for goodness sake. I'd hate to have my hind quarter rapped on whenever I say something someone else doesn't agree with or thinks is stupid. That wasn't the case here so much as someone just making a snide comment, but all the same no one likes mockery and criticsm I would think.
