Here's an odd one -- TC points out that XINE, a free Linux media player, supports Wing Commander III video files. Not only that, but they list said capability as one of their features. So... if you've ever needed to watch Wing Commander III cutscenes in Linux, you're all set (in all fairness, they've got ports for other systems, too!).
