Looking for the WC1 Hornet Blueprints...

Howdy... My name is Howard Day, and I'm looking for a hi-res scan of the hornet blueprints from WC1. Ayhow, the reason I'd like to get my hands on these is that I'm modeling a hi-detail version of the Hornet for use in movies and games. The idea is to duplicate the original style of the fighter (no "I think it should look like this instead"crap). This is a straight up version as you would see on the hangar deck of the Claw. It will have full markings, a cockpit interior, landing gear....the works. The idea would be to put it in a short animation - at the very least, show it launching and Landing.
If I get a good response from this, I'm considering re-modelling the Claw herself. Image the TCS Tiger's Claw with this level of detail:

Yummy. :D
Oh - BTW. I'm the guy who made the Vegastrike ships as well as that re-modeled hornet model a while back. In case you were wondering. :D

Thanks in advance!
Howie

He lives? He lives!

Hey, I don't know if this is enough detail, but Origin Museum has the blueprints here.

And as a totally unrelated note, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your work. Any chance of you doing any other ships?

heh... thanks. Nope, those aren't detailed enough. I've allready got them, but they're distorted and skewed...hard to do an accurate model with sources like that. :D
I'm pretty sure I need at least a 1000pixel wide image, if not more. :D

Yup. I plan on doing the Hornet - both as a high-res and low-res game model...and of course, the Dralthi and Tiger's claw. If there's enough demand for it, I might do more...

yeah, there is surely a high demand for good hi res models. As you may know I am running a website, which offers a selection of older WC meshes (I have to update it with never stuff).

I will see what I can do, I am sure I can find a fairly good scan for you ;)

Howdy,
I scanned the Hornet blueprint from each corner, so there are four images that will overlap to make one Hornet. I'm no graphics guy, so I'll leave it to you (or someone else) to stick them together properly.

Scans are 300 dpi jpegs, roughly two megs each. I have 26 meg BMP versions here, and I can send those to you some other way if they're needed instead.

Please let me know when you have them so I can get them off the server - eight megs of jpegs is probably bad for bandwith (G)

Hey, LOAF - if you want to scan in the other blueprints , I'd be willing to host them. Bandwidth is not a problem for me. :D 'Sides, that might inspire me to do other ships.

If you (or some other graphics person) can stick four scans together into a single blueprint, then we can host them at the CIC (just need to put larger files on the FTP).

But yeah, I can do the other scans. I'll try to get those tomorrow or so.

sure.
all that would be helpful is that you center each scan on an individual diagram. so one for top view, side, front and back..... that'll make it easier to put together.

Well, I don't go Hi-res, But I'd like to use them for my models (the pics' from the Claw Marks are somewhat lacking...)
