Lexington Class

Who knows? Is his death during the destruction of the Claw ever confirmed?

If so, then we have our loophole; Armada happened in a tangent universe!

Well, the Official Guide to WC1 and WC2 indicates that everyone on the Claw at the time (Halcyon, Shotglass, etc) was a casualty, minus whatever pilots were on patrol at the time and Hunter who was in Kilrathi space when she was shot down. Oh, and Vanderman who had ejected and was spending his time MIA surviving on a Kilrathi hunting preserve.

The list of Tiger's Claw characters who we (and various characters) assumed to be dead only to find later on in the continuity is not a short one. :)

It's possible that Shotglass survived, and Voices of War certainly suggests that... maybe he was on vacation and various characters who reacted to the loss didn't realize it? There's always an explanation.

It's hard to presume - without an explicit Tiger's Claw KIA roster - who exactly was onboard during her destruction. Shotglass could very well have left before the mission to K'tithrak Mang (he wasn't in active service, after all) and could very well have opened up a cantina somewhere.

I like the idea that he may have survived. He was one of my favourite charakters in WC.
....strange...
I just came to the conclusion that I always like the barkeepers. They use to be cool. Just think of Privateer 2, it was one of my favourite british actors, John Hurt, who played the cool barman in the Sinner's Inn. Did you check out his file in the computer? He was sued for some funny reasons. IIRC it was illegal weapons, drugs, and some hygienic issues in his bar. :D

He was one of my favorite characters, too, which is why I *don't* like the idea that he survived... we've slowly whittled away all of the emotional impact of the Tiger's Claw's destruction over the years!

Here's Joe's databse entry:

BACKGROUND: Ser Kane is suspected of dealings with the criminal classes; certainly he seems to be aware of criminal activity in his area. Criminal Record: 36/G/2769 Possession with intent to supply of a class-3 prescribed substance (Dongleberries), 29/E/2778 Convicted of Gross Unhygiene in breach of 2694 Food and Safety Edict.
