By the time of the novel "False Colours," what is the Landreich's relationship with Confed? Does President Max Kruger want revenge, or want to attack Confed? I know Confed would be a lot more than willing to do anything for Landreich. After all, the Landreich did turn the battle of Earth in favour of Confed.

And also, what types of capships did the Landreich use?

Well, the obvious best answer to that question *is* the novel False Colors, since the Confederation-Landreich relationship is a major backdrop to the story.

The Confederation thinks that Kruger is a dangerous cowboy who will stir up a new war with the Kilrathi... and Kruger things the Confederation should mind its own business. He doesn't have any interest in *attacking* the Confederation, but he doesn't want Confed having any say in the Republic's affairs. Think of the relationship between France and the United States in the 1950s, maybe...

The FRLN's main battle fleet is ex-Confederate Wake-class CVEs, Light Cruisers and Destroyers (both types unspecified.)

And one Bhantkara class heavy carrier :)

It doesn't join the fleet until the end of FC, but is its most powerful warship at that point.

The S*S mention of the war between Confed and the Landreich sounds very interesting. Student (Bondarevsky) vs the mentor (Tolwyn), it would be great to explore this little conflict more.

A few months back I tried to get in touch with Andrew's brother (also a writer), but was unable to find a valid e-mail address for him. It would great if he still had some of Andrew's stuff concerning the two novel ideas.

Thank you for simplifying that explanation. Reading the FC novel just ended up confusing me.

So... If Landreich attacks the Kilrathi, Confed will try and stop them? I guess...

I'm sure that info will be helpful if I intend to make a Campaign for Wing Commander Saga (or any other space game) which will put the player in the shoes of an FRLN pilot.

I would recommend purchasing AS, FA, FC and the TPoF to get all the background you can about the Landreich before attempting to lay down stuff for such a project.

Didn't Bondarevsky died in False colors or do I mix something up here? I have such problem remembering names....

Anyway a Landreich campaign sounds interesting. They did quite some "upgrades" to their fighters IIRC.

You maybe confusing him with Vance Richards, who was "killed" during the Battle of Baka Kar. His amazing escape was supposed to be laid out in a future book.

This actually seems to have decreased as time went on - the post-war Landreich fleet in False Colors is a more respectable unified group of surplus Confederation designs. I think the idea is that they've become a serious nation rather than a group of cowboys...
 
I just read a bit more of False Colours, and it sounds like the Kilrathi from the Haka clan want to destroy the Landreich... And thinking about what LOAF said about Confed trying to stop Landreich from attacking the Kilrathi, it sounds like Landreich is going to get overpwnz0red, unless Confed realizes they've been tricked...
