I've found a Prophecy Blooper

I was using HCI Wing Commander Movie Viewer Last Night, and was watching the Scene were Zero shows Casey around the Briefing Room. Casey is wearing First Lieutenant Insigina, but he should be wearing Second Lieutenant Insigina, since it's just after he gets onboard the Midway. Also in some scenes Hawk appears to wearing Major Insigina, not Colonel.

I was wondering, are the Rank Insigina used on this site Correct. Since I've seen Major Insigina in the games and it appears to be be Captain (Chat Zone Captain that is)

The insignia for majors is the same as the one for captains, only mirrored. We're fairly sure that most of the ranks seen here are accurate, though.

There are a few scenes where they are mixed up in the games. Spyder's insignia comes to mind. Can you cite any other instances where they're swapped?

I'm sure That Flash's insgina was

and he's a major. Not sure of anyonther examples

Hobbes' insignia and Blair's insignia got mixed alot in WC 3. I found out what Admiral is (General insignia only silver) and Captain (the type Eisen is) its capt. insignia only silver, so I'm assuming gold is the fighter pilots' and silver is fleets'.

So, the morale of the story is don't judge a Pilot by his/her rank insignia.

Basically, yeah. This is one of those things that doesn't (and can't) get an in-universe explanation. The people in charge of wardrobe simply messed up.

It happens. A Major Example of this is in Return of the Jedi, Almost every Imperial Officer is wearing Commander Insignia, which is Three Red and Three Blue

No,no,no Imperial officers wear a different Insignia and they don't have mess ups of insignia in Star Wars.

They Did mess up in Return of the Jedi. When else did Admiral Piett were the three Red three Blue insignia of a Commander, when he should have worn a Six Red and Six Blue one

No that was in Strikes Back he had in Return 5 red and 5 blue (Admiral).

He was promoted in Empire Srikes Back, but if you look in Return of the Jedi, he has three re and three red, as with Moff Jerjerrod.

This isn't completly right I have another rank thing, anyway the Admiral insig. and General are the same.
