Hey Guys!

I´ve captured a 55 Mb Vid of the intro of Priv....... It is an avi File.
Can these be played by Vegastrike?

If you´re interested in dl please give me some info where to upload....

I got the intro movie. Now the powers that be need to tell me what format they want it in :) I'll figure out the size and stuff by me onesy.
 
sequence of jpeg images Cropped to powers of two (128x512 I think is the size we've been using)
then a .ogg of the audio

I have a duplicate frame eliminator-- so we'd like a lossless version too
 
one thing, why were the jpegs saved in such low quality?

I'm glad to hear that the intro is going to be incorporated into the remake. That will help a lot of us who never had the pleasure of playing the original get a more full flavor for Privateer. Great work! Thanks for the contribution!
 
I will post the Intromovie for RF in the next week ´cause i got to get home to get the CD version of Priv with full speech.
The Intromovie of RF then will have speech too.....

eh'... can you do a lossless version?

cause the rez is so amall anyways, that that sequence can't be more than 3 megs

May I ask you how did you captured video from Privateer? I'd like to do the same with TIE Fighter and X-wing videos.

I used Camtastia Studio

With this you can capture entire Screens, Windows or custom sized screen areas (like i did via DosBox)

so...... happy Recording..... :)

P.S. : hehe....... If anyone is interested.... i have an uncompressed, full image AVI of that Introsequence.... it is just lousy 3.1 GB large.... LOL.... anyone wants Email?
 
lol. That intro movie was captured from the floppy disk version..

Burrows had a different voice actor in the CD version, which is what we've been using, since the floppy version had no voices for mission briefings and bar scenes. Upshot: his voice doesn't match.

Quality is excellent though. Could you grab it again when you get your CD version?

Man! That RF Movie gave me a real bad headache! My DosBox crashed at various
places during the Intro displaying the last message i wanted to see....

Mem 0x12356346 looked at 0x3345366 Process "read" could not be done....

this error sucks ´cause nobody has a real clue where it comes from and how to solve it.....
This error occured by using Speech and Music activated ..... With - only Music - it worked fine.... but Speech activated - brought it to crash everytime.
has anyone had any similar Problems?

Privateer ran fine but RF, which is started through the same .exe (PRCD) doesn´t..... thats weird!

but i finished it with a little more time invested..... :D
