I need some help...

You never heard about Privateer, but you said that sucks !!!
In what concept or info your opinion is based?

No..

I didn't mean it sucked.

"Super Wing Commander has graphics on par with Privateer (same style, # of colors, resolution, etc)."

--Bandit LOAF

Now, Super Wing Commander's graphics is good, but nothing compared to that of Wing Commander 3 and 4, He said Privateer had the same style graphics, and thus I ragged them as to my understanding Privateer came out only a couple years ago. I dioubt very much it sucks, as all Wing Commander games I've tried so far are tight, but if a 1999 game has 1995 graphics, it wouldn't be as good as if it had up to date graphics. Wing Commander 4 is 1999 or 2000!

Privateer is on the older side, Ben. It already had a re-release a few years ago on EA Classics.

All I can say is...

All I can say is time has passed really fast then. It seems like a couple of years ago WC4 came out (which is when I got it) Also, are you saying Privateer came out before SWC? My SWC copy says ©1995

Ben

Err

Scratch that. I just realized something. Its only that versions copyright. Also, like I said earlier, I got a Mac, did the PC version of WC4 come out before the Mac?

Ben

Generally the games for PC comes before than the games for Mac

And if you want a good advice, do you a favor and trash your Mac, buy a PC :)

Macs are good for their graphics cards (or they use to be, I haven't been in front of one in 3 or 4 years) and tossing out the window to demonstrate gravity.

Heh...

Yes, Macs have tight graphics Cards. They're awesome for movie editting and graphics. I have a Voodoo 3 in my comp right now, its tight w/ graphics. I find it funny most computer professors enjoy the Macintosh more than any other type of computer, yet most newbies to computers enjoy PC (or if you enjoy games more, go for PC too)

I would like a PC but like I said, I'm too poor to get one right now. Besides, I'd still want to keep my Mac.

Super Wing Commander came out *before* Privateer -- in 1993. It was originally designed for the 3DO console and later ported to Mac. Privateer was developed at the same time, and used many of the same artists and 3D models... and used the same combat engine.

The Mac versions of 'main' WCs generally came out about a year after the games did for PC.
