Hmmm, you say you have nothing to do with the Ships Database even though you decided to go in and change bits of it yourself? And your claim that people have been complaining about it since the beginning of time is unfair too..
 
I'm just tired of people blaming me for problems with the ships database. And they do it *a lot*.

(Yes, I did put in the names for some of the ships classes, though...)
 
Not to mention wrong. Stellar Accretion Device and Ella with impenetrable shields and armor? I wonder how come it's possible to destroy both then.. :)
Plus Length and Mass for both are complete guesses since they aren't officially stated anywhere AFAIK. And those are just the first two pages I've looked at.
 
Okay, I'll leave the images out though. If you want to fix the Fralthra/Kamekh thing you can rename the files but I still say thats not an error, its a characteristic. :(

Nope. Micah Tan, a very talented graphics person, did the site. He adds things as he has time, but alas, he hasn't as much time as he once did in the last year or so. Therefore, you will find some places where the information is incomplete.
 
The TCE is, indeed, a wonderful site.

(I'm officially in charge of updating the CIC's ships section now, I guess -- so I can't tell people it's not my fault stuff is missing!:))
 
Are you sure you're not taking up too much, LOAF? You already update the CIC page everyday, I have the impression that you're working on the encyclopaedia every now and then, plus there's the genuine original Prophecy script, and numerous other projects, I assume...

Is the Hornet the only update you've made so far?

oh LOAF. if you need help with anything i can assist with you just have to ask. this sites great and i would like to atleast give the offer to help with it :)
 
I had a look at those two sites... the first one was waaaay too graphic intensive, took ages to load on my slow connection. The second one (uranium238) was quite good, even if incomplete, the pilot opinions were entertaining... but they're still opinions.

I still prefer the CIC's simple database, and once LOAF is done with it, it should be better than ever. :)
 
The warlockz one had a neat box thingy in the middle that I played with for about 5 minutes. The graphics weren't a problem with my satellite dish. I liked the other one better though.
 
Ugh. I was so irritated by that thing - it's so unnecessary, and it just made the download longer. Oh well, I suppose silly things amuse silly minds. :)
 
The Hornet is my test update, which I'm useing to figure out the changes in the format -- I've got a big text file that I'm making changes to specs in, though...
