How to Fix Poor Cropping in the Hi-res WC: Prophecy Videos (a guide)

The community member @Pedro was able to solve my cropping issues for WCIV. I had a similar issue with WC: Prophecy and spent many hours trawling threads, in an attempt to pin down the cause. Eventually, I was able to discover the solution myself and thought that one good turn deserves another. As such, here's the most likely solution for anybody having the same issue...

The FMV sequences being cropped are due to the combined configuration of 'nglide_config.exe' and 'OGLsetup.exe'.

The settings which worked for me were...

* Vulkun (video backend) and Fit to Screen for 'nglide_config'.

* 1920x1090 for 'OGLSetup'

If there are still issues, then selecting different resolutions and/or options will likely fix the issue, depending on your own monitor. Ultimately, it does appear to be an issue relating to the settings selected within those two specific configuration programs.
 
Thanks for posting what worked for you. Too often people will say they got something to work a and don't post their fix leading to many people fruitlessly searching for a solution

EDIT: I should add that it would still be good to include some other info regarding your system configuration as often differing hardware still plays a pretty big roll in the effectiveness of a given fix.
 
Sure; I'm using Windows 10.

Intel Core i7 8700 @ 3.20Ghz

16GB RAM

GeForce GTX 1080 Ti

My "monitor" is a Panasonic TV

I hope that may help somebody, but I truly am convinced that it's the settings within both 'nglide_config.exe' and 'OGLsetup.exe' which make the difference. If folks try different combinations within those two programs, then I believe that they will find a solution (hopefully).

Oh, and yes; I despise when people say "Never mind, I got it to work", without elaborating on how exactly.
