The Tampa was a norweigian cargo vessel, that picked up refugees from a sinking boat and brought em here...

the thing that was contentious apart from the 'concentration camps' was that our PM turned back the boat and said "'fraid not" .. called em 'queue jumpers' among other things...

refused to see them as legitimate refugees under the UN charter.

the problem was, they were quee jumpers, there boat originally coming here started sinking, because it was a peice of shit, the norweigan boat captain picked them up and instead of taking them back to were they came from decided to bring them here.

he was intercepted by a navy vessel and all the ppl on board were taken to christman island detention center for illigal imigrants. They wernt concentration camps, were not at war... for starters, if they can afford to spend the thousands of dolelrs to get to Australia in the first place then they can spend the money getting proper passports and identification to get here.
