Help needed - modeler!

I think most of the people here did know that forummember Hudson and I create a cardgame based upon P II and my books.

There is a unique ship called "DREAM", this is from my novel, the Dream is Ser Arris personal destroyer and it was build after his takeover of the clan. The problem is, of corse, that such a vessel doesn't exists, it's pure fatasy.

But at least, we want to bring this ship to life. We are looking for people, who are willing to create this ship for our cardgame.

The Dream is classified as destroyer, it's smaller than a cruiser (like the pirateclans operate), it's armament feature 3 heavy turrets and a smal hangar.

The only condition: it must fit in the designline of the game!

We don't look for a 3D model, but more for some drawings!

If you are interessed, please give us a sign.

Wait...your subject line seems to indicate you need a modeller? I'm assuming since it's a destroyer it should roughly be the size of a Confed destroyer? Maybe slightly larger than a mammoth cargo ship?

Deacan, Striker, sorry for butting in, but maybe I can clear up the request a little:

Jacob Hudson is using ingame shots of the different craft for the cardgame (right?), so in order to have a similarly looking shot of the non-canon custom ship, the Dream, a model is needed. That model would be just used to make screenshots for the cardgame.

What do we know about the Dream?

It's a custom-built destroyer of the Kindred (plot spoiler follows, move mouse over area to reveal text)
, the mysterious pirate clan that gets defeated at the end of Priv2, after Arris kills the clan leader, his brother Kronos.

Lev Arris assumes leadership and tries to change the Kindred's direction - into a trade empire, but that's part of Deacan's novel. In the novel, the Kindred are named The Clan, and are the smallest group, but their technology is superior to all other factions. The Dream is the flagship, very agile, with lots of communications equipment. Arris uses the ship to direct

Furthermore, I've culled some quotes from my translation attempt of the novel, which may give some pointers:

The Dream (...) was outfitted with experimental drives, enabling it to enter hyperspace at any point in time - without the help of nav buoys - and to leave it again at any given place.

(...) the Dream was a costly and exclusive custom model (...)

The bridge's windows weren't big, Deacan estimated just a couple of square feet in actual window size, but dozens of screens hung from the ceiling or were built into the walls. A single high seat was the center of the room - without doubt Ser Arris' private "throne".

Looking at the Dream filled Deacan with a little boost of positive energy. The small destroyer awaited his guests with hangar doors wide open.

Crew quarters were near the generators for artificial gravity...

Instead of landing [the shuttles] inside the hangar, the small docking clamps at the prow were used to have the hangar free for quick starts and landings of fighters. Additionally the two shuttles would have used up nearly half of the hangar space.

Although the dream was exceptionally fast, her armaments were rather second class, so that she was definitively relying on her escorts.

All in all, fourteen Blades left the hangar of the Dream (...)

I guess that gives some details to size and design, but not very much... Maybe Deacan can add a bit to that, in terms of size, crew number, etc...

@Deacan: As you see, the translation moves on. Not as rapidly as I'd like, but you'll hear from me soon.

The Dream is just a bit longer than a salvia-class destroyer, but more compact. The hangar makes the ship asymetric (like the salvia), the bridge is located on the ships noise.

Parts of book III:

- a long floor is located on the left side of the ship, this floor goes over 2 decks, reaching from the bridge to the engines, marking the ship with its windows like two white-colored stripes.
- paint is grey
- the engines are protected by heavy steelplates
- a smal comtower is on the ships back, able to scramble the communication over an entire sector

@ critical: jupp, Hudson and myself started to do so... Hudson has done several sketches in the past, most of them haven't anything to do with P II, but we work on it.

Deacon, I'd be glad to do a model for you...it would be helpful to have a rough sketch of something you might have had in mind though.

Thanks Mr. Striker for your offer...

...your work is great. I will give you a sign via mail, but this could take a while - my novel is just about to start, so I have a lot of thinks in my head...

But as I said, I will give you a sign when we go on with the cardgame.

PS: Hudson and I will do some setches for you, just as helpful "background" in the next weeks...
