LeHah has provided us a kingly gift this year: a Cameo video from Hugh Quarshie, who played Lt. Cmdr. Obutu in the Wing Commander movie! He was nice enough to spend a few minutes talking about a job he probably didn't want to remember (I mean, he was in Star Wars that same year!).

I love hearing the little tidbits about cast and crew interactions since for the most part it's exactly the kind of things the cast and crew don't say when doing official press tours. Learning that Karyo is a perfectionist butting heads a bit with CR is a little fascinating really (and he was IIRC the highest paid cast member). There's moments in various scenes where the alternate performances of Paladin come across a bit more unhinged and a bit living on the edge a bit without quite the sheer recklessness of Maniac.
