Just got my copy and was surprised to see this...

Your first glance at this mix of 14 classic '90s titles may send you jumping for joy - Syndicate, Desert Strike, Mutant League Football, Road Rash, Wing Commander, and Ultima the Black Gate all make appearences just to name some heavy hitters. Just be warned: the sheen of newness that once glossed these games has faded with time, and several might be better left in your memory. But if you're committed to reliving the good old days, this is a reasonable way to go. There's even some multiplayer ad hoc options on a couple of the games for good measure. I certainly thought I was going to have an awesome time with this mix, but it just didn't work out that way. What else can I say? You've been warned. ----MILLER"

I thought it was a little harsh, although I'm curious how old this guy is to be talking so much smack about a lot of games that shaped our early gaming careers and probably his. I dislike Game Informer as is because I find it to be quite useless, but I believe we get it for free from buying 360s. Bastards.

I wouldn't really call it harsh. 6.75 isn't all that bad of a score for a classics rerelease. The 7.0 review from gamesradar was more negative.

I've haven't heard of a Game Informer promotion like that. You probably got it with a discount card at GameStop.

They're not reviewing anything. A review is a critical study, not a single line opinion.

This article boils down to "I certainly thought I was going to have an awesome time with this mix, but it just didn't work out that way. What else can I say?"

What else can he say? He can say why he feels that way! That's a legitimate requirement for any review, but especially, especially, especially for a review that is considering fourteen completely different games.

Dude, this game, like, totally bummed me out! But maybe you should play it? Look how cool and post-modern my writing style is!
