Really? Where do you get that idea from? So your saying evil is 220 years old? I seem to recall reading about evil heavily intrenched in European countries long, long before the US was ever thought of. Id start looking in the history books, particularly around the "Dark Ages" era, and before when you say that.

Well, I'm not against you 'cause I'm an actual WC fan... I just say what I hear...
About "wc, a gay movie? ", I really read it on the Net, I don't know where (I was furious), but that is true. Why ? maybe because of the flightsuits (?), but I think it's because of Freddie Prinze Jr. Don't ask me why...

"La boum" and "Les visiteurs" (eh, you've got it know !) are french movie but they suck... I'm not kidding, they really suck...

Mpanty, you're right: JP Jeunet et JJ Annaud are great film makers... and I loved "Stalingrad" (yeah, in France, we called it Stalingrad: "Enemy at The gates", it's too hard to understand, and the translation is... well... they understood that nobody would watch a movie called "L'ennemi aux portes"...)

As for conclusion, I wiil say that if you want to sell a movie to France, it must be named "Titanic" or "Star Wars"... indeed, I was alone in the theatre to watch the WC movie: that is because nobody knows WC and Chris Roberts... That is not our fault, but frenchmen are proud... and trying to change behaviours is difficult...

Fortunately, i'm not part of those persons (eh, I'm talking to you in english !), and I will always consider that we have a lot to learn from you, american people... I don't know why, but every year, I thank your soldiers who fought and gave their life on our Normandy beaches in June 44...
Maybe because I think friendship is a strength, and that we have to walk together on the road of future...(to avoid wars, for examples...)

Im not positive on this, but I think a movie called "The Looker" was based on a French movie, back in "87" or "88" I think is when it came out. A very good "Looker" movie too!

Perhaps one day everyone will see thier boarders as simply lines on a map, and realize we all live on the same ball together. What happens to the ball, is what happens to us all.

Lately, look at Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and before that, Life is Beautiful... they are good movies!!

Life is beautiful was good, but Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was just a hyped up Kung Fu movie. That's it. I went in there expecting this awesome movie, and it was your standard Kung Fu movie. I was pretty upset.

Hehehe...well, actually, all things evil are directly related to organized religion. All of them. Pure evil. Christianty and Islam being the wost of the bunch, with Satanism just behind.

I think the average person would prefer everything in their own language... but that clearly isn't possible.

And quiet, Ladiesman^. Don't make statements unless you know what you're talking about.

I just saw Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon last week, and I thought it was fairly neat... nothing brilliant, mind you, particularly the way those 'memory of the desert' scenes were put into the movie. Overall, a pretty good movie. Would've been better if my little sister didn't spoil it by telling me the ending.

And Ladiesman... I agree with Wedge.

Hmm, I nearly forgot. SW - but the uniforms were bad :). Not awful, but definitely a long way from good.

Hmm, I've only seen a few Chinese movies from that genre, but if they're any indication, it's a pretty normal thing for them to do :).

That's mainly because american people don't like films with subtitles.

what do you mean? "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" anyone?

true... I really wish Jurassic Park III would have been given a sub-title though... it just throws the whole sytem out of wack I tell ya!
