fixing damage

i am stuck in a system with a broken jumpdrive and no ship seller. How can i fix this? Can't find the saved pilot files (osX) Do I have to start a new game?? Or can I edit the game file??

Same here...Guess we should've installed a repair bot, or save _before_ jumping into a new system I use 2 savegame files, but I saved to the wrong one after not noticing the JD blew Oh well, after I took my frustration out on the locals, I started over...

I have a repair droid but it does nothing a real waste of money and a bug I hope is fixed in 1.1

Droid not versed in Jump Drive Machanics?

Yep, just noticed that too, even increased the droid repair rate in the .config file, no go on the JD. I figured I might sit at a jump point waiting for someone to leave (use their drive?), didn't work either. Since the drive gets whacked often, it's extemely annoying...

Only non grey items can be repaired by the droid. We have increased it's speed in 1.01.

That must be it. It's blown in uninhabited or ship seller free systems 3 times now, & the JD is always greyed out when it goes. Well, that leads to the original poster's question, How can I fix it without a repair facility?
