AHEM. Do not post requests for illegal copies of copyrighted software on this board please. The Administrators will space the lot of us.

Finding it in Australia is as hard as finding it any where else. When you do find it, it's usually for $200+ on Ebay or something.

Yeah always try eBay and that sites. It's the best. And there you got the best chance. Try and try and one day you'll find it. Or maybe you got the luck if you search/post a request to little sites, where people offer used PC stuff. If you post there a request, you maybe got the chance if you offer a high-seeming price, that you find anyone who doesn't know what it is worth and gives it away for 'líttle' money compared to eBay.

BTW, I'm aware that we can find a lot of good things on ebay, but how does it work ? I mean : do you send the money directly to the seller, or to ebay which pay him later ?
And what if the goods you recieve is not exactly what you paid for ?
(As you surely understood, I never bought anything by this way... :))

Normally you send money to the seller. He might have opted to use an escrow service, but you hardly ever see that. Payment options are always mentioned somewhere in the auction description. Check the seller's feedback rating. A seller with a good rating won't con you, and will be very likely to amend the situation if something does go wrong (i.e. if the item arrives damaged). I've done about 20 auctions, and have never had any issues. Almost everyone is trustworthy, and you'd have to be a fool to get conned.

We all began it one day. You can see the marks the seller got from other eBay users, who traded with him before.
If you're the higherst bidder, you get an automatic mail and there you get the e-mail-adress of the seller. Normally he contacts first you with his data concerning money-sending. There you get to know which credit institute etc. You send the money to his conto and he'll send the stuff if he sees it reached him. It's trust. sellers cannot allow sending other things. Or damaged things. You can give the seller a mark. And you write why you gave it. Most sellers only have good marks. If they had bad ones, nobody would bid for their things. So, first check the marks in the seller's profile before you bid and make your decision. Black sheep can be found everywhere. Even if it are only few at eBay.

To get something straight!!!

It is NOT illegal to ask for a copy as I told you before EA states it is obsolete. That means you can do with it what you want, basically. I got that from EA directly. Is that understood. Second I am looking for "Kilrathi Saga" NOT for "Prophecy Gold". My good god is here noone who owns that title?
BTW we are talking about a GAME not a god given absolution. Some people here think a bit weird. And what does "sorry you are an Australian" mean??? Is it mean or what?

Reply please to get that sorted out. Am I talking to adults or pumpkins here?

It's gonna take a while to get use to the crass humor on the board, March, but you'll get it eventually. As long as you don't take anyone really seriously, you'll be OK.
The only thing to be careful of is the Moderators, as they can get mad about asking for CD/Rs and bootlegs of copyrighted properties and stuff like that. LOAF is an exception, since he's very fun to talk to. Kris, though I respect him, sadly seems to be the Automoton Police Robot on this board. Be careful if he warns you, he doesn't mess around.

KrisV, your being an Administrator or moderator gives you no more right to make comments giving no thought to them before posting. You Americans have no respect for anyone outside your own country - so don't be surprised if you get the same level of courtesy (or lack thereof) back - I, as an Australian, will back Marchangel up on that much.

However, Marchangel, could we please see a copy of this permission as such that you claim to have received from EA, together with the name and perhaps contact info of whomever it was who you claim gave you this information.

Also Marchangel, try stores like Billy Guyatts, Harvey Norman etc... I've seen copies of Prophecy Gold around in them as late as last week.

Thanks all for these precisions ! It was not very clear for me... But it is important because ebay seems one of the last source of WC materials. Unfortunatly :(

First! Look up his profile, before you declare anybodyhere as anything.
And you also have no right to say all Americans are equal!
And he's right. Black copying is illegal! :)

With all due respect, Akashra, I cannot speak for the people as a whole on this board, but I've seen people get banned for far less than you confronting Kris in such a manner. Kris isn't a bigot, I've read too many of his posts.
He can bring the hammer down but he usually, 9 times of 10, makes the right judgement.

Also, Kris... isn't an American. He's in Belgium. :)

Fishbone is correct. America is not the land of Milk and Honey like people think. The law from Orwell's "Animal Farm" applies here: "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others."

I don't care what EA says. I'm telling you this board is not here for your warezing convenience. Read the rules before posting again.

Where are you? in Australia, I have it... I'm in Adelaide.... Contact me at Darkmage50@start.com.au, if your REALLY desperate BTW I bought it for $49.00 AU I've seen it around in a few places, contact me and I'll tell you where.

Commercial software can NOT be copied legally regardless of its age. Laws against the crime exist in every civilized country, however I'm not sure if that also extends to Australia. It doesn't matter one bit what some monkey in EA support says on the matter, you need to have a signed agreement with an EA organ-grinder in order to be able to freely distribute EA games without having to worry about legal action.

An American called KrisV? Now who's posting without thinking?

As would I, but nothing stated by EA would make us change our policies.

Prophecy Gold can be bought online. Check https://www.wcnews.com/wheretobuy.shtml
