In Privateer Remake 1.0, the Paradigm can't be purchased until you complete the Steltek Drone mission for Admiral Terrell ,but a Kamekh and the cloaking device is for sale at the large asteroid in Tr'Pakh. The Drayman can occasionally be found at New Detroit after completing the Oxford missions for Masterson (when access to the library is gained). Obtaining the money to buy a capital ship is quite difficult (Drayman costs 1,200,000 to 1,500,000 ; Kamekh is around 8,000,000 ; prices for a Paradigm start at 8,700,000) , and using a tractor beam to capture a smaller starship requires it to be quite close and heading directly at you, placing the expensive to repair capital ship at great risk of being damaged or destroyed (especially if the target is hostile), but capturing and selling a small starship can earn big money (money needed for repairs or upgrades to the capital ship). To put it simply, when flying a capital ship and capturing hostile smaller vessels (Assimilate! Assimilate!), the alternative to success is either destruction or retreat
, employing a cloaking device if you have one (Evacuate! Evacuate!).
