Yes yes I know, but I was really asking a question because the Confederation, not to my knowledge, dealt with cloaked/stealth fighters b4 WC3.

well, that is a possibility, but I would hope they could be shady and steal it from the Kilrathi.

Yeah, but what would the other side have to concede to in order for Starfleet to agree not to implement cloaks? It would have to be something major. But even then its a stretch. Cloaking technology, ST or WC, is simply too valuable to be written off for whatever concession. Especially if the other side has the cloak.

Exactly. The cloaking technology is the most advanced and dramatic military break through. Any military force with it has a edge that literally can not be seen. So I do not understand why it took so long for confed to finally implement the cloak. I know that they had it when the Kilrathi attacked Earth they used it on the little transport that went to spy on the Kilrathi Super Carriers. They should have gotten their feet in gear and mass produced the cloaking technology.
Well, it really wasn't all *that* long. Confed only discovered that Kilrathi cloaking fighters existed for sure at the end of WC2 (2667 or so) and they had cloak capable fighters by WC3 (2669). Not only that, they were able to implement it on a fighter that was a heck of a lot better than those flimsy Strakhas.
As for mass production, keep in mind that a good part of Confed's industry (the Innner Colonies, the moon, major cities on Earth) had been wiped out in the assault on Earth. I imagine what was left would be tied up replacing the fighters and ships lost in the battle.

I had forgotten about that point. Especially since the moon, which from what I understand was also a major construction facility was also decimated.

The station in WCIV from which Tolwyn oversaw the production of the Vesuvii class ships was called Orion, and had been crippled by a Darket during the Battle of Terra. It was moved from Earth orbit to L5, where we see it in the WCIV intro... there were no actual shipyards for the Vesuvius -- foundry ships were used instead (new shipyards would have taken longer than between FA and WC4 to build).
The station in WCP is near Jupiter, so it probably *wasn't* affected by the Battle of Terra -- the Kilrathi jumped in near Mars and moved on to Earth, so they wouldn't have been near the outer planets (plus, of course, Jupiter could have been as far away as the entire other side of the system).
