Here's my take....The Orbital "Victory" Museum had nothing to do with the "Vesuvius" dock but the game would make you think they are located the at the same location.. But the CG rendering of them is waaaay off. They make the Victory look like a mammoth size...when in reality (game wise) it's less than half the size of the Vesuvius. For the WC4 Station I would imagine it's a large size. (They also don't show it being all that big) in the shot where your traveling to the station. It would just seems like the CG artist goofed. It happens.

Just remember when you were going to land on a planet in Privateer....They make that planet look so small.... And there is NO WAY your going...THAT FAST! to crash into it within like 1 sec. bwahaha

It's pretty hard to judge scale when we have no idea how close they are actually flying to any of these objects and that we clearly see victory style ships looking miniscule next to the station and the vesuvius. More likely the camera is just closer to some of the ships than others.

And I don't think the Privateer comparison is fair considering nature of it's engine.

Also, in Privateer I assume you aren't actually hitting the planet so much as entering the atmosphere incorrectly and burning up. I also don't see how you can suggest otherwise that the two locations in the WC4 intro aren't at the same location given that they jump before and not after getting to the museum, and that they are both orbiting a similar looking planet with a moon.
