Confederation and Kilrathi Capital Ships

Dahan

Rear Admiral
I have downloaded a list of all the ships that were christen in the Confederation Fleet prior, during and after the Kilrathi war and the capital ships during WC4 and Prophecy

But the only information I have are the Concordia-Class' and two other classes from a list Bandit_Loaf website.
Does anyone have a list of all the Confed and Kilrathi Capital ships prior and during the Kilrathi War
I am looking for all relevant information possible.
The main criterias I am looking for

- First Year (when it was first active)
- Name of Ship
- Class
- Last Year (when it was decommission, scuttled or destroyed)

Any information would be greatly appreciated....

There were thousands and thousands of capital ships in the war. We have nowhere near complete information available to us. Hell, we only have information that detailed on a couple of ships that we've been stationed on, and even in many of those cases it isn't all that specific.

Ok I will try to be more specific.
Do we have any information on any ships during 2634 (Year of Battle of McAuliffe) and anything about 10 years prior??

I am wondering what classes were available and what were there names

We get similar questions a lot, and the honest answer is that we really don't have very specific information. If you're interested in the pre-war era, the obvious advice is first to take a close read of Action Stations.

You won't come up with anything overly specific, but you'll get a good idea about tactics and doctrine and how fleets of the time you're talking about work. We learn basics: the Confederation has at least three classes of fleet carriers ('old style', a 'heavy fleet carrier' and the Concordia-class), a class of battleships and a range of lesser ships-of-the-line. The Kilrathi have at least one class of carriers and three classes of battleships (Gamorgin-class, Yar-class and Zulu-class). A few of their other ships are named in Action Stations - the Targu-class frigate and the Butha-class cruiser (note that the latter is supposed to be an older, more obsolete ship).

Other than Action Stations... we're going to have Ranger-class Light Carriers (like the TCS Victory) and the early version of the Bengal-class Strike Carrier. Neither of these are going to be very big in the pre-war era, of course - the naval doctrine of that era uses carriers only for their ability to launch reconnaissance fighters, space-to-surface bombers and escort fighters. A number of the Wing Commander (1)/Movie ships will be around for the Kilrathi -- the Ralari and Fralthi-class (pre-carrier variant) ships are in service... and the Sivar-class Dreadnaught (the hull as seen in the movie, not the weapon that destroyed Goddard) is around.

The Sivar as a big gun and the Sivar as a ship are commonly used interchangably (much as the Behemoth is), which is probably what LOAF means.

There was just one with the gun.. there were presumably many of the separate design standard capital ships.

I have been browsing through my reference list of capital ships I can find and I need to know what confed and kilrathi cap ships were around 2634-2629
So far the Durango, the Ranger-Class, Bengal [not sure about that], and the TCS Concordia [what class was that] were the significant ones. Can anyone supply me some details of the carriers, destroyers, frigates etc that were around during that 5 year gap

Bengal [not sure about that]

The original TCS Bengal was built in, IIRC, 2619. It's the follow-up ships that were built between the Action Stations time period (well, the main setting time of the story, as it's told in retrospect from a post-WC4 perspective) and the WC1 era.

I believe (but don't quote me) the Caernaven class of frigates, like the pirate frigate we encounter in Hellespont in WC4, were around at that time. (I know Blair described them as being old, and about as common as dirt, in WC4N.)

I am rereading Action Stations now so I will keep an eye out for it.
At the moment I'm writing a chapter by chapter overview in the book so I can quickly go back to it instead reading the book to find a specific information

The frigate in WC4 is news to me and not aware about how old they are.
But will check the book.

Can you be more specific? Did you read the post above where I answered this question the first time? What other kind of information would you like?

I am looking for a list of all available Confed and Kilrathi captial ships/class
from 2629-2634, up to the point prior to the Battle of McAuliffe.
So far the only Confed ships that I have come across are

Ranger Class Carriers
Bengal Strike Carriers Class
Durango Class Destroyers

Bandit you have a listing on yourwebsite of some ships but no class desgination.
What was the TCS Concordia class and the TCS Ark Royal? Do you know what specs it had.

I have looked at the list which Chris has directed me to.
The list is prettty much the one I am looking for all the known ships from WC1 to Prophecy.
the only thing I was a bit hazy about was the history of the Concordia class about whehter or not it was around during the Battle of McAuliffe in 2634

In case you didn't catch the other four times we answered this in the thread: "the Confederation has at least three classes of fleet carriers ('old style', a 'heavy fleet carrier' and the Concordia-class),"

hmm, the ranger is a weird thing. i mean it's supposed to be the oldest carriewr still in service, and it's a light carrier, but it's bigger than most carriers in the wc1 and 2 era

oh, another question, are there any pics of the Targu?

No, there aren't, it's just mentioned in Action Stations.

Despite the adorable my-stardestroyer-is-longer-than-yours fandom that we exist alongside of, the size of a ship is generally measured by its displacement/mass rather than how long it is... so the 28,000 tonne Ranger-class is significantly smaller than the Bengal or Confederation-class.

well, fleet tactics says:

bengal: 690meters(with the claw 10 m longer)

Jutland: 775m

wake island(LCV) 410m

ranger 720m (LCV)

funny enough, even though the ranger is supposed to be longer, the bengal owns it by ~ 52000tons what is the ranger made of? paper? aluminium foil?
