Tolwyn was in a different positon - remember that he was the one who reactivated Blair's comission and who also arranged for the Orlando 'demonstration' in order to sell the conflict to the Colonel. At best Tolwyn wanted to sell The Project to Blair... at worst he wanted Blair's support in selling war to the Senate. He also clearly respected Blair's skill enough to task him with various necessary missions - like capturing Dr. Brody.

Speaking of which, which is the 'official' storyline - where Blair and Decker land on the planet and witness the devastation firsthand as in WC4, or as in the novel where nobody was allowed to leave Telamon, even those resistant to the virus because they would still be carriers?

Is it possible that perhaps the capships had some sort of advanced filtration system? ... geez for a guy being promoted you'd think I'd have a better explanation then that... But sorry, I've been toiling with that Question since WC4 came out... still don't have an answer.

I believe that the novels are the official version.
