Collectors' lucky day...

400 bucks? its only got about 2 days left on it and its only had one bid. Looks like you'd be able to get it alot cheaper than that.
 
I woudn't be surprised though if everybody put in a bid at the last second. Thats the way things usually work. My Dad is always buying stuff on ebay. If they had ebay olympics, hed win.

Why, of course not for LOAF, because he already possesses that stuff in triple or quadruple!!!

But think about someone who only played, say, WC I and II, and couldn't play WC III, IV, or V, because he went to take a spiritual trip of 7 years in Tibet (pun intended here :)...
Now he's back, and wants to play some WC (after 7 years in Tibet, we all can understand that! :))...
This set is the occasion to get all the games IN ONE SHOT!!
 
Actually that isnt such a bad deal with those film can boxes. Kinda makes that special in a way. To those that have it all, or have it several times over, it may not be that interesting, but for those with nothing, thats a real good deal. Although I already have all that stuff, Id get it just because of the film can box. It also has extra stuff besides the games which makes it even more valuable. I would snag it but the wife has other plans with the surplus! :( As long as she stays away from my WC box I dont mind!

I got it again cause I always try to get 2 or more copies of each game I have, for some reason, they turn up missing. (I blame the wife!) Since that game (KS) is such a rare item and hot on ebay, I wanted to get a spare. Besides I had to spend some surplus or the wife would take it away! Like I stated before, my wife loves to hide my WC box which has all my WC stuff. She was sneaky one time and took out my copy of WCP just to get me to put up new shades on the windows! Well one of the CD's came up all scrathed up! I think she played frisbie with it, but I try to get extra copies just for those reasons. Then theres the brother's kids that come visit and get into my stuff! So since that game is so rare, I thought Id better grab one before it gets way out there in price, as LOAF suggested in another thread. Better to be safe and have extra than to not have it at all after someone messes with what you have!

What I meant below was that this eBay set has nothing that can't be gotten anywhere else...

Now, something like a WC4 shirt or poster would make it impressive <G>
 
Really? You can get WCIII in the film can box? Where? But I agree, throw in a t-shirt and a helmet and make it even more valuable! Or have models of all the ships.

Maybe Loaf should sell his WC stuff on ebay. Or better yet, hold a WC lottery. Everybody buys a ticket, 50 bucks a piece and whoever wins, gets loafs stuff, and loaf comes away a billiooooonair!:)
 
I think LOAFs much happier with the stuff than with the money he would get, i know i would be. If it was a billion dollars on the other hand...
 
I have to agree with you. I wouldn't sell it either. They'd have to pry my WC stuff from my dead fingers! But hey it was worth a shot!

Don't worry RFburns, you didn't outbid me... I'm just surprised you are ready to pay $250.00 for that game!!!
Hell, a few days before you, I got it for $150.00 from another eBay seller... Good thing you didn't see it before me! :)
Still, I don't understand why you paid so much... if you had waited for the end of the auction, the final price would have been something like $200.00 maximum, you just had to bid a bit more...
For the one I bought, the reserve was only $125.00 and the Buy it Now! price only $150.00 (that's how I got it...)!! Guess I was quite lucky (the pix looked good too!)
But hell, the package is amazing, if you're ready to pay top cash to have it, means you're a REEEEAL fan!

Or then again you're REEEEAALLY scared of what your wife might do to it... ;)
 
I'm happier being poor with a closet full of flight-suits than I ever could be rich with a closet full of... shirts, I guess.
