Capship Components

The downside to capships in Prophecy is that even the guns look pretty there isnt enough of a concentration to make it worthwhile... what made the WC3 capships deadly (as well as those bloody SW frigates) was that there were a good amount of guns, on a relatively small ship, throwing up a LOT of shots per minute. It still hurts when you get hit in P but the dodge/shoot/dodge combo lets you get in close...

I don't think so....I just check out the Gladiator one, that one's right. I saw Al Bundy say that on the episode of Married with Children when Al went to the Elderly Olympics, and the Yoda one is right. So all of those check out.

I'd love to actually feel threatened by a cap ship in WC. Kilrathi carriers in WC3 were the easiest things EVER to destroy. Just fly in the hanger, and blow it to hell from inside.

Yeah, they were pure crap. So few turrets, covering so few areas. And they weigh 100,000 tonnes!
Corvettes were indeed the hardest Capships in WC3 because they had no large blind spots as every other Cat ship. The WCP Kilrathi corvettes can suck, if you do not close fast enough. But once you are directly behind her and very very near she cannot hurt you anymore. Problem of course is to get there before being blown to bits. :)

Mmm, no, actually they both make sense. "Echoes in eternity" would imply that the action would echo throughout the ages, whereas "echoes an eternity" implies that the action would echo for ages. "Echoes an eternity" is not grammatically correct (should be "echoes for an eternity"), but that is a shortcut frequently taken when speaking, especially when giving a proper speech.

I just checked my English DVD and Maximus says "in Eternity", at least that is what I understand and the subtitles say it too. Of course subtitles are often not very accurate but I think this time they are right.
Sorry Ladiesman^ ;)

Let this not be construed as the start of one of those debates...

Whoops! Since we were talking about novels, I thought everyone knew what I was talking about. I was actually referring to the X-Wing novels, specifically, the "Bacta War" where Iceheart takes over Thyferra (home of the Bacta Cartel) with her private Super Star Destroyer, the Lusankya. That's where Wedge (heh heh) comes in with the two dozen snubfighters and several hundred freighters.

Hey! We only tell the truth and we have to admit it. LoaF is intelligent, all-knowing (in many aspects), generous and very sexy I guess.

BTW...Loaf do I really have to post 500 posts to become Major? I would really like to become a General... ;)

(This was no serious post at all!)

LOL Mekt!!!!!

...but it still counts as ONE post!
And so does this one!! :D

(Actually LOAF might be capable of lowering the post count manually, ce vieux renard!! ;))
