BoT

Iceman16

Vice Admiral
hey all,

Im playin through the WC series and Im just startin WC3 and Im wondering, what roles did Angel and Maniac play in the Battle of Terra? theyre both good pilots so I guess they would be in the front lines with the Concordia or other fleet carrier. is there anything stating where they are according to the canon?

I don't think it's mentioned if they particiapte or what they did...it's probably fair to say they were at Sirius and BoT, but we don't know exactly what they did etc..

There is, AFAIK, no mention of their activities during the Battle of Terra and associated engagements, but I believe Angel was in Paladin's special ops unit at the time.

Didn't the HOTT novelization say that she was on, or near, Kilrah at the time of the battle and Maniac was there and fought just not actually "seen" so to speak?

I don't think Angel left for Kilrah until after BoT...Paladin was busy in with the Free Corps until after BoT and I think somewhere (HotT?) it is mentioned that her team left soon afterwards...

as Im playing through wc3 again theres that cutscene with the holovid message from Angel saying something like 'I hope the fight goes well for you and all those aboard the Concordia' so she definately isnt on the Concordia so she's probably on some Covert Op. As for Maniac, I guess its fair to assume that he is flying at the BoT but it isnt mentioned.

Angel had transferred to Covert Ops, but had not yet left for Kilrah (that is to say, Blair was Wing Commander of the Concordia).

Presumably Maniac was already on the Victory - the novelization says the current fighter wing had been onboard for just over a year. He probably ended up there right after Special Operations 2 ended.

Curiosity - Is the Battle of Terra mentioned anywhere outside of the Forstchen novels?
It's mentioned in the Victory Streak (WC3 manual) and Kilrathi Saga manual, and possibly in other game literature post Fleet Action being published.

It's mentioned in Voices of War that came with Armada. VoW mentions all the novels up to that point in it's timeline...

isnt it also mentioned the the guide to Prophecy? I remember reading something like that there. btw thanks all for the info, my curiousity is satisfied.
