I'm trying to determine the most effecient way to go about increasing one's wealth in Privateer 2 - The Darkening. Currently I'm trading between Crius, Anhur and Hermes and then repeating the route. While this is turning a profit I'm wondering if there's a faster method.

I've tried to do some of the bulletin board missions but they either require me to travel across the map for a very low price or they put me against virtual impossible odds which require me to waste my fee on a nukes.

Any thoughts?

It's been a while since I last played it, but here's some stuff I remember:

Don't know if this is the best trading route, but it's definitely one of the better ones. Yours is quite okay too, by the way, but this one is better:

Buy mining equipment in Hephaestus (don't remember the actual name of this category of goods, but it's the one with comm units, robot stuff etc.) and sell it on Petra. On the way back you can haul metals. It's a rather long way but brings huge profits - if you have enough cash to fill a Monolith with this expensive stuff. Turns 40k credits into 60k credits or more with one run.

Also, watch the news bulletin. Some commodity events are quite good. When an event first pops up, you have exactly two more landings left before it expires and a new one comes up. So if planet A needs good B, go to the best place to buy B, buy it, then go directly to planet A and cash in.

I saw "best way to make credits" and was sure this was another Viagra spam post to delete.

*Really*?

In all earnestness, thanks for the great backseat moderating tip--I'm pretty sure it's going to get someone banned.

Allright, allright, I get it, there's blood in the water and you all want some meat. Y'all go devote as much attention to one of the interesting discussion threads instead.
