BUT, they were 'seperate' from confed, having their own uniforms and ranks in the game non?
Maybe for you, but I'd prefer only a few atmospheric missions. WC is primarily a space-combat game, not atmospheric. I was a bit disappointed to find that Rogue Squadron was all atmospheric missions - I can't wait for the Game Cube Rogue Squadron release which is supposed to be chock full of space combat missions, the B-Wing (at last!), and the first authentic recreation of the infamous Death Star run. They even got the original models used by ILM in the Special Edition run of the Star Wars trilogy. <Drool> Anyway, back to WC.Originally posted by Bob McDob
You know what'd be cool? Atmospheric missions. A whole game centred around them. Kinda like Echelon.
That's so true, but I find the Privateer version the worst. WC2 asteroids aren't so bad, I think. But they're annoying enough to force you to slow down between autopilots. Dangerous asteroids are lacking from WC3 onward. WCP asteroids are only dangerous if you fly full speed into them... like Morays seem to enjoy doing.Originally posted by penspinner
Asteroids... especially the WC1 flavour... They're more deadly than even Jalthis... and they're experts at attacking from your blind spots and popping out in your face at the last second. So it seems at least...
I've already mentioned how one time the Midway is near an asteroid field, and I would play asteroid-soccer with the Plasma Gun as the goal. That made no sense to me. And that "Go Ghost" thing still sucks.Originally posted by Ghost
