Arts and Crafts with LOAF

[Bandit LOAF]

Summer fun for Wing Commander fans. Wooooo. Reprinted from my livejournal (banditloaf.livejournal.com).

Want to be cool like LOAF but can't afford the operation? Do you wish your life were more like Wing Commander: Privateer? Well, now you can make your own Privateer keyboard outline and save!

Step One: Download these three especially large high resolution PNG files (five megs each).

Step Two: Print them out on nice paper. Maybe that glossy kind.

Step Three: Attach it to some light cardboard.

Step Four: Cut out the white areas (the picture of the pilot, the list of other keyboards and the strip right above it. That's where the keys fit.

Step Five: Laminate!

Step Six: Attach to your keyboard. The original uses little velcro pads. You can probably use tape.

i remember when game came with custom overlays for your keyboard.
it used to be a pain, as the currect standard keyboard wasn't so standard back in the day...
which amy be why they stopped making them.
and i still have mine from f19 stealth fighter from micro-prose.
but i have to say i like the reading materials from WC better than fancy cardboard.

I probably won't use them myself, but great job, all the same!

And sorry, Ghost, but with all the references to offspring, I have to say it's "children". Just trying to be helpful, don't take offence.
