3D Printed Privateer ships.

Hello members,
what is the scale of the models?

I am currently customizing the Tarsus from “thingiverse.com”.
When modifications are completed, it will be printed in 1:72.

My current mockup of my Tarsus.
At the moment I'm having technical problems with my 3D printer, so I'm taking an involuntary break.

Start a new game.

My mockup is ready.
Now that my 3D printer is ready for use again, I was able to finalize my design after a few tests.
The pictures show the Tarsus with the equipment when starting a new game.
Equipped with a laser cannon and a rocket launcher.
Other test prints are the accessories next to the spaceship.
After some experimentation I am reasonably happy with the scale I have decided on.
I build my Tarsus as I fly it in the game.
The representation in the game is not logically correct, but the main thing is that the model looks cool.
During my analysis of the “WC3D Collection Index” files, I noticed some scaling differences between the 3D models.
I also noticed that the Tarsus cockpit model does not match the Tarsus spaceship model. Both have a different angle in the front area. If I remember correctly approx. 39 degrees to approx. 62 degrees.
What also doesn't work are ten rockets in the launcher. The rockets would have to be tiny for that.
As I said, logic doesn't matter, the main thing is that it looks cool.

The next planned steps are to produce the parts with better print quality and to work out more details.

A quick test print.
The attempt to bring the Dralthi VII from Thingiverse to the same scale as the Tarsus.
Both models had the same laser cannon models which made scaling easier.

What do you think about the scale ratio?

I've also been looking at other ships besides the Tarsus.
Most of the ships are only shown in flight.

Does anyone have any ideas for landing gear for the spaceships?

Thanks for your opinion and help.

Super Wing Commander uses the same model for their Dralthi and the landing scene doesn't have any gear - it just kind of rests on its wings.

Thanks for the link.
I didn´t know it yet.

For hangar diorama I would like the spaceships to have a landing gear.

I´m currently making a simple landing geear for the Dralthi from a template of a cylon raider mk1 and a tie interceptor.

Another day, another test print.
I have tried to adapt other ships to my Tarsus here.
If the proportions fit, I will draw more details (landing gear, cockpit interior, transparent canopy, etc.).
What do you think of the scaling?
Any tips and/or hints?
