    PERRY, where do you land?

Ask a smartass question, get a smartass answer. I actually find this discussion to be fairly interesting, so I'd be much obliged if you could find it in yourself to either contribute, or withold your lack of wit. Getting back on topic... In truth, the suggestion that Perry is twice as...

    PERRY, where do you land?

I've actually been clean for a couple of months now, thanks for asking. These are not fighters we're talking about, their civilian starships with extensive cargo capacity, amenities for interstellar travel, and soforth. Take the Galaxy, for example. The cockpit is downright cavernous, and...

    PERRY, where do you land?

Only because we're never really given any basis for comparison, or hard numbers. Simply using a rough estimate, based on the interior dimensions of the ships available to the player and their comparability to one another, it's a safe bet that they're all in the neighborhood of one hundred...

How about a new forum for german players??

It's my professional experience that most German highschool students speak better english than most Americans in general.

    Ship of the line

Actually, in the interest of full disclosure, here's a comparison shot of the current Connie and the embarrasing precursor model. Please keep the rotten fruit to yourselves.

    Ship of the line

Thanks, Ptarmigan. Although, as much as I really hate to be seen as fishing for praise... truth be told, though, I've been kind of underwhelmed by the response so far. Not really looking to be pat on the back or anything like that, but for some constructive (or even destructive) criticism from...

    PERRY, where do you land?

This picture makes it look like fighters and other small craft enter through the portal on the station's north pole. I would imagine that the equitorial ring has facilities to dock larger craft, and the large hangar doors on the southern globe serve as drydock.

    Militia Paradigms?

I wish I could contribute something constructive to this mess, but instead, I think I'll just point out that it's an egregious break in logic to suppose that Gemini has more independence than other sectors which we've never seen from a civilian perspective.

    Ship of the line

Not a whole lot of time in the coming months to work on this, so here's a few captures of the model as is.

    Ship of the line

I'd explain myself, but somehow, I'm pretty sure you know I was talking about the design inconsistancies in certain other capital ships...

    Ship of the line

Well, I've been asking questions about the Confederation-class for a while now, and although it's been a bit difficult to get them all answered, I think I've nonetheless managed to make do. Here's the result. She's not quite finished yet, but I figure I'm close enough to completion that I...

You could always get yourself banned, in which case the administration will issue you your very own mop-and-bucket avatar.

    Confederation-class armament

Okay, so I didn't drum up a whole lot of interest with my last question, but I'm hoping that this one will bring out at least a couple of knowledgeable individuals. According to the game documentation, the Confederation-class dreadnought packs three flak cannons, eight antimatter guns, and...

Antimatter gun and flak turrets in the mid-60s

Yeah, this thread is about antimatter gun and flak turrets. I've been through most of the readily available material from Wing Commander II, but aside from the funeral scene on the Concordia's deck, there really doesn't seem to be a whole lot out there to indicate what they may look like up...

    Concordia (Confederation Dreadnought) sister ships?

As interesting as it is to see salvos fired back and forth as to why it is or isn't possible for a Confederation-class vessel to have survived until after the war, I think Loaf just touched on precisely why the point is entirely moot. The Confederation-class is, simply put, a bad design. It's...

    I'd buy him a beer

FlashFire82, there are many who would argue that what what Ms. Fonda did during the Vietnam War was treason, not an exercise in free speech. It's a pity she wasn't prosecuted for it at the time. Treason or no, her actions are entirely indefensible. I think it's the height of irony that she...

    Confederation at War

This would be the phenomena known as retroactive continuity. I'm sure it's been discussed at great length in previous discussions of the subject, so I'll try to keep it brief; any time you introduce new content at an arbitrary point in an established timeline, you create conflicts with events...
