That's right. Forgot about that tidbit. Still, wish we knew who he was on the Claw/Concordia.

    Lexington Class

This is a big shot in the dark, but is it possible that Angel could have been the commander of the Lextington during its insertion into Kilrathi space? I can't recall whether or not the character's logs had any gender-specific references. There was one note from a son to his father, but there's...

    Lexington Class

LOAF - thanks for clearing that up. I had re-read Voices of War last night, and the dated implication that the Armada character "may have been" Blair was bugging me. I didn't even stop to think/remember that the Lexington inserted Angel's team, and Angel's presence onboard would have warranted...

    Lexington Class

I liked how Armada felt 'darker' than other installments. Was kinda lonely, which fit the premise. One thing about Voices of War, though; it isn't confirmed, but it seems implied by many coincidences that the 'Commander' is Blair (before he was named). His logs make reference to the...

The Fleets and Admirals of Confed.

I recall an Admiral Hancock (Or H-something... I think it was Hancock) mentioned in Voices of War. I'll have to check it when I get home.

    Wing Commander Arena Dogfight Night

Looks like Sunday is the winner. Should I open a poll for people to vote on times? Right now I'm thinking 9:00 PM EST.

    Let's replay WC....as a community!

I'm already replaying them, so I've got a head start! Over the last couple weeks, I ran through WC 1 and 2 (and the SMs/SOs). Right now I want to get in some Armada, but I'm having the ubiquitous flightstick calibration trouble. :( Even with HCl's patch, too, and the latest DosBox. Ths...

The Lonesome Death of FreeLancer 2 (December 5, 2007)

I play to win, so in the case of any PC-Based FPS, I choose the mouse ten-fold over a gamepad any day. So much more precision, not to mention that turning around doesn't take half a day.

At least they weren't cockpits with engines strapped to them!

    The Great Dralthi-esque Hunt!

Aha, that explains it. :) Anyways, yes, they appear several times in SM2. My favorite shot of them is when they rout the Kilrathi at the end of the campaign - toting rifles.

Finally! Wing Commander books have arrived!

Aha. I haven't read Action Stations - another book I'm having trouble getting my hands on. As per Dundradal's post and LOAF's affirmation, discount my suggestion. ;)

Finally! Wing Commander books have arrived!

I've been trying to get End Run since 2004.

    The Great Dralthi-esque Hunt!

Kudos for a Star Control post (the Kor'ah Death March is one of the most bad-ass doomsday events in video game history) - but isn't there a cutscene with a fully-body shot of a Firekkan if you avert/fail to avert the Sivar-Eshrad ceremony?

Finally! Wing Commander books have arrived!

It is, Larkin. I think you may have misread Dundradal. He was saying to read them in order of publishing date, as opposed to in-canon timeline (which I listed in my previous post.)

    Eagle One discussion

Reversing that statement is hardly valid. In the interest of not dignifying the negative direction this thread has taken, this is my last post in response to inflammatory remarks.

    Keep the votes going, guys!

Finally! Wing Commander books have arrived!

If you want to read them in chronological order - continuity-wise - then start with Action Stations, Heart of the Tiger, False Colors, and then Price of Freedom.
