    FB-202 "Ghoul" Long Range Fighter/Bomber

First off, great job. Now, I don’t mean to raise a ruckus, but might I suggest using one of the ship names mentioned in Star*Soldier? I nominate the Fury. If you want it named after an actual aircraft, well, the list is long and distinguished: FJ-2/-3/-4 Fury ( jet fighter) Hawker...

Making the Games: Border Worlds in Action (October 22, 2008)

To me it looks more like a reverse layout of a Vampire. Or perhaps like the Wraith (?) fighter from Colony Wars: Vengeance Could this be the Predator-class front line fighter mentioned in Star*Soldier?

    LOAF's Design an Avatar Contest!

Well, when everyone looks right, it’s my job to check left. Here’s my proposal. Obviously not to scale.

    WC booze

To make a Hell’s Kitchen. According to Star*Soldier, a Hell’s Kitchen is equal parts bourbon,Tennessee and Brimstone whiskeys with a splash of Tobasco. Now, I have no idea what Brimstone whisky may be like, but I somehow envision it being stronger, more potent stuff (much like those rough...

    What makes a JumpScout?

I’m a sucker for details. Little things. That’s why I love the Wing Commander franchise so very much. But there is one thing that has often tugged at the back of my mind: Luna Jones: JumpScout. From Claw Marks: "Vidstar Saranya Carr, exotic heroine of the popular Luna Jones, JumpScout...

    Confederation spacecraft designations.

LOAF, I want to thank you for the thorough analysis and discussion on the designation system. Ultimately I feel that Confed’s system is something of a hodgepodge of different systems and eras (no doubt reflecting Confed’s diversity). Also, I for one would not shy away from piloting a manly...

    Confederation spacecraft designations.

What? I…ugh. This information has made me a very sad panda. :( Innocently, who penned the Rapier biography, as it sounded thoroughly convincing to me.

    Confederation spacecraft designations.

What I was saying was that rather than an experimental spacecraft receiving an X designation (such as the X-29, one of my favorite aircraft) the craft is give a letter (or two) prefix for the company (G for Douglas, OA for Origin) similar to American manufacturer's codes used during World War 2...

    Confederation spacecraft designations.

Ok, pointless rant time: We have CF, presumably meaning “Confederation Fighter” or some such, similar to the designation used by Canada (CF-105 Avro Arrow). While this works fine for the Scimitar (CF-105) Rapier (CF-117) and the Broadsword (CF-131), assuming the Broadsword was original...

    Origins of the Banshee II?

What I was subtlety and politely trying to ask was could the creator of this image: Please make a similar one with the KF-100 (whose design is all kinds of kick-ass).

    Origins of the Banshee II?

I joke which (in my opinion) makes the movie’s design more palatable. I could definitely see these guys flying around in my old copy of WC1. While on the topic, Mr. Eder, could I challenge you to make a similar model of the KF-100 Dralthi? (Head start included)

    Origins of the Banshee II?

Eh, wasn’t trying to move mountains. I suppose I was merely putting forth the idea that they might share some design linage, such as the case with the Hellcat and the Tigershark.

    Nephilim Biblical Discussion

Please forgive me for sidetracking this conversation a bit, but I though this might be the best place for such a topic, and since there appears to be a lull in the discussion… First, an anecdote: I had an idea for a WC story a long time ago, which drew heavily from Biblical/mythological lore...

    Origins of the Banshee II?

I was looking over my collection of ship pictures again and I noticed something rather interesting: Look at the UBW Banshee II fighter. Now, if you remove the side pylons from the wings, and replace the lower pylon with a gatling neutron cannon, you almost have a CF-117 Rapier...
