    Wing Commander model

Dang, I'd love to have actual models of some of the ships I designed and built - I could even provide the actual meshes for them...very cool stuff!

    Cardboard Claw

It's not Wing-Commander related, but Origin artist Brian Smith built a freaking ginormous spaceship out of foam core that actually was what got him hired on. It was huge. I'll see if I can track down some photos - but I also think the thing was accidentally destroyed while moving it at one point.

Meet Me Midway (February 28, 2007)

Lemme throw out a couple of thoughts here. I'll throw down my creds; been making games sixteen years, worked on several Wing Commander titles, and I designed and built the original Midway. My thoughts on the new Midway - overall I like the structure of the ship as far as faithfulness to the...

Meet Me Midway (February 28, 2007)

I have to confess that my first thought on seeing the new image was that the Midway had collided with the Cygnus from the movie "The Black Hole" (http://www.30doradus.org/spaceships/images/cygnus.jpg)

Ser Arris Wins IMDB Survey (January 3, 2007)

I saw Children of Men over the break, and it's a contender for a place on my top ten movies of all time list. Really, really incredible film. I highly recommend anyone who can go see it.

    Shrike Three, You're Out! (September 29, 2006)

Actually, being the big softy that I am (and feeling guilty that technical and work-related issues have kept me from delivering - so far - the wallpapers I owe to the fine folks of this site) I am more than happy to convert these to whatever is the preferred format. I'm using Polytrans to...

    J. Allen Brack on The Darkening (August 23, 2006)

Take this for what it's worth (absolutely nothing) but I have to agree with the OP; at least as far as the WC production team at Origin, what was released as Privateer 2 was never factored in as what we thought of as the "real" Wing Commander games. It was dumped into our laps and we were told...

Expanding Our Movie Library (August 17, 2006)

Dang - If I'm not quite mistaken, I think I did that Hornet landing piece - and if it's the one I'm thinking of, it was the first 3D animation I ever did! Memories, Like the corners of my mind Misty water-colored memories Of the way we were

Space Pickles Collide: A Wallpaper That Really Stings (May 11, 2006)

I can deliver them to you guys in whatever the preferred format is; I'm rendering the images out to tga format then bringing it into photoshop to do the logo and stuff, then save it out. Lemme know what the preferred format is and that's what you'll get!

Ride, Sean Murphy, Ride (May 2, 2006)

Oh noooooo..... Actually, I wouldn't mind having all of the models; it's a shame that they've pretty much disappeared into a vault somewhere in a storage room in some EA warehouse...I have an image of the final shot from Raiders of the Lost Ark. I've actually contacted some of the other WC...

I can certainly post a list of names of contributors as well; I get a summary of all donations by name and amount, so I can post it when it's all done.

Ten Years of Wing Commander IV (February 12, 2006)

A note on that picture of the "team" - it's not a complete team pic; looks like it's mostly the management, marketing and testing crew. Chris Roberts, Dave Downing, Frank Roan and Tony Morone are there, but I don't see any of the programmers or artists from the team.

    Heads Up! (February 10, 2006)

Probably noted before, but the other SWC portrait based on a real person (well, a real Originite at least) is Hunter, based on Paul Steed. Paul and I (as well as Beverly Garland and Micael Priest) shared an office with portrait artist Sam Yeates.
