Dang, I'd love to have actual models of some of the ships I designed and built - I could even provide the actual meshes for them...very cool stuff!

It's not Wing-Commander related, but Origin artist Brian Smith built a freaking ginormous spaceship out of foam core that actually was what got him hired on. It was huge. I'll see if I can track down some photos - but I also think the thing was accidentally destroyed while moving it at one point.

I saw Children of Men over the break, and it's a contender for a place on my top ten movies of all time list. Really, really incredible film. I highly recommend anyone who can go see it.

I can certainly post a list of names of contributors as well; I get a summary of all donations by name and amount, so I can post it when it's all done.

A note on that picture of the "team" - it's not a complete team pic; looks like it's mostly the management, marketing and testing crew. Chris Roberts, Dave Downing, Frank Roan and Tony Morone are there, but I don't see any of the programmers or artists from the team.

Probably noted before, but the other SWC portrait based on a real person (well, a real Originite at least) is Hunter, based on Paul Steed. Paul and I (as well as Beverly Garland and Micael Priest) shared an office with portrait artist Sam Yeates.
