    Vectored Thrust, Aerodynamics, Cloaking

Short answer - they have antigrav (which is how the Hellcats lifted off on Nephele), they have artificial gravity (which is why you can see them sitting down normally in the games) and offshoots of that technology allow for intertial compensation (as referenced in Action Stations, End Run, and...

    Aces Club?

You should be glad you don't remember anything. But blowing up the Destiny was fun. :p Did it twice, even.

    Vesuvius Vs Star Destroyer

This all assumes that whatever technologies work in the Star Wars or WC universes will work in the other... and that the speed units are the same when it comes to comparing fighter speeds, and that weapons work on the same principles in both universes, among other things. In the meantime, can...

    Vesuvius Vs Star Destroyer

Augh. I hate threads like this. "God comes out, says he needs a starship, and destroys them both because this makes as much sense as bringing Star Wars into Star Trek" is my answer.

    Some thoughts on Priv II

Since when was the movie not originally a Final Fantasy movie? First, it came from Square Pictures, which was a company specifically created by Square to do digital films. Second, Doctor Sid -> Cid, which is a 'trademark' Final Fantasy character almost, being the mechanical genius who shows up...

    Landreich?

The PTC -could- be fired multiple times... but by 2665, they'd stopped making ships with them because firing the PTC could blow the firing ship up too, and the 'cool down' was to recharge the reactors which powered the gun. In SO2, Angel objected to firing the main gun because it could blow up...

    Weapons of the marines/army

Don't forget the Midway of WCP, whose front-of-the-line Shrike bomber carried a Stormfire Mk II. You don't usually find abandoned technologies on first-line craft, at least not weapons systems.

    TCS Cimino - Where?

I think they're referring to the last debriefing in Pembroke system after Pembrooke D, where Tolwyn and Blair are discussing the TCS Gettysburg mutiny. That's probably where the confusion comes in - plus the fact it shows up in the Encyclopedia as a Waterloo. :D

    Weapons of the marines/army

Wasn't he a civvie? :D Still, they did specify the mag-pulse rifles were used in False Colors due to their ability to punch through flesh without blowing holes in bulkheads or equipment, and if we drag 'real life' into things, we have such things as Glaser or other frangible rounds which...

    TCS Cimino - Where?

The TCS Beowulf does appear in Gwynedd 2, when you get the comm message from the Concordia. She was the Concordia's escort, destroyed on her last jump prior to her arrival at Gwynedd, later replaced by the TCS William Tell. Can't remember if they ever mentioned the Beowulf's ship class, but...

    CONFLEET in the timeline...

We don't know why they called one a battleship and the other a supercruiser - we don't have enough data on the battleship classes of Action Stations to make any judgements regarding their speeds and armaments, outside of the heavy plasma guns and bombardment capabilties. Thus, we don't know...

The end of Prophecy - Secret Ops

The wormhole stays open and uncaptured (translation: the command ship is not destroyed), thus allowing the Nephilim to invade Confederation space with their full force of their fleet. At that point, you're encouraged to commit suicide.

The end of Prophecy - Secret Ops

It's a riff on the non-sensical nature of the first post, I think, especially given that Secret Ops has been out seven years, discussed to death, and there's a hint guide that's not only been published by Origin but on here, which itself was released in a revised version during this year's...

    Upcoming DS titles in JP

Aye.. I'm probably picking it up later this afternoon, and the lawyer game next week. From what I've read Trace Memory's a tad too short, and Lost in Blue sounds interesting... but I'm not sure how it'll go over for me. Medical games, on the other hand, were always an interest of mine.

    Dating the Uniforms

Sorta like how Star Wars has a 'Star Trek' like contradiction with how Obi Wan discovered Anakin during the Clone Wars as a brilliant pilot, but then Episode I shows him being a sidekick to the guy who discovered Anakin about 10 years before the Clone Wars ever began? Remember that Blair, at...

    Upcoming DS titles in JP

Haven't tried Lunar yet, though the reviews suggest that people will get somewhat put off by the 'running consumes HP/mana', along with some of the other combat mechanics. I'm eyeing the Trauma Surgeon and lawyer game myself... along with 'Lost in Blue'.
