    Crazy stuff in SO1

IMO the MIDI music has always sounded better than the digitaized stuff.

    Philosophical exercise:

Hmmm...can't say that I've ever heard that. I've heard of "toll roads", but not as a replacement for the term freeway. *shrug*

Welsh in Wing Commander PLEASE READ!

    That's not a rumor...it's absolutely true.

    Philosophical exercise:

"A flute without holes, is not a flute. And a doughnut without a hole, is a danish." (Gawd, how I love the philosphical impact of CADDYSHACK.) :) In other news.... Why do we drive on a parkway, but park on a driveway? Where's the 'w' in ONE? Down in TWO where we don't need it. What is...

    Truly, a work of art.

Toss up for me between the Kilrathi Saga and WCIII covers. Both are simply masterful artwork. The character depictions in WCIII really set it apart, but then there's the menacing Kilrathi claw on the KS pic. Both are just too cool....

How much of a difference did it make?

That's NOT the "big one". This has been explained ad naseum, but here we go again. ALL decisions affecting Hawk and Panther have an impact on which winning ending you receive, because that ending is entirely dependent on whose morale (Hawk or Panther) is higher at game's end. There are three...

    A Proper Petition

Thought this might interest any of you who are crying for petitions at every corner. Those of you who are fans of the DVD format might be aware of the recent unpleasantness when Warner Bros. announced that they were releasing the 30th anniversary edition of WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE...

    I finally created my webpage!

As a professional Web developer... I offer some important pieces of advice for those of you interested in developing Web pages: 1) Don't be afraid to ask people here and elsewhere for help. We all had to start someplace, and it takes time to learn and develop a style that suits you. Until...

    Ship Colors

Re: primary color schemes from WCIII to WCIV: Confed Arrow markings remain blue in both WCIII and WCIV. Pirate ships, which had orange-red schemes, also appear in WCIV. Hellcat wing markings are green in WCIII, but switch to yellow in WCIV. Thunderbolts have purple markings in WCIII. We...

What bomber was the most powerful in the WC universe

The B-17 wasn't even the most powerful bomber of WWII. That distinction clearly belongs to the B-29....

New? There was an article in PopSci nearly a year ago about it. Have they done a follow-up recently?

    WCM movie ships

No, Gyrfalcon. It's a small carnivorous falcon, known to be quite fierce.

    Eeeeeew

To some degree, this is correct, base don what I've seen in the past. However, early on it was not clear whether the original movie would do well. Once it did, and the initial trilogy was planned, Lucas wasn't sure more than three movies would ever be made; hence, ANH, ESB, and RotJ became the...

    WCM movie ships

I've used the following for ships that I've created: Goshawk (heavy fighter) Gyrfalcon (interceptor) Marauder (strike fighter) Aurora (cruiser class) Valkyrie (corvette class) Jaguar (heavy fighter) Lynx (light fighter) Thinking up logical names is part of the fun in creating this...

    Kilrathi vs. Terran ship design...

Perhaps. But it was a lengthy discussion that was had a mere two weeks ago on these very boards. Actually, how it was designed and released is precisely why it is a stand-alone game. Another topic that's been beaten to death....

    Eeeeeew

Not really, if you consider that the title is NOT referring to Luke as an individual, but the the Jedi as an order, a group, THROUGH Luke. In that light, it is a title of implied symbolism, and not so simplistic. That's the way I look at it anyway.

    Eeeeeew

Because the correct titles to date have been: A New Hope The Empire Strikes Back Return of the Jedi The Phantom Menace Thus, it appears that including the antecedant (in this case, "The") is perfectly acceptable. At any rate, I rather prefer "The Gathering Darkness". :)
