TCS Tiger's Claw launched a combined strike against the KIS Rathtak. One Scimitar strike wing was assigned to wingleader Captain R.A. Skinner and wingman Lieutenant Larry Dibbles. The wing left the carrier at 2300 hours. Twenty minutes later they encountered two crippled Jalthi. One thrusted away intermittently as though it had suffered engine damage while the other spun powerlessly. Dibbles broke formation to attack the active Jalthi. At 2321 hours, Skinner ordered him back into formation. This was the final transmission made by either Scimitar: neither Jalthi was damaged. The disabled ship powered up and destroyed Skinner's fighter, then joined the other to shoot down Dibbles. Both Skinner and Dibbles were killed. The incident became the impetus for Taggart's Tactics. A recovery team later located Skinner's flight recorder. Other portions of the strike damaged but did not destroy the Rathtak.

2654.??

TCS Tiger's Claw dropped from jump-space in the Enyo System. Blue Devil Squadron was the first squadron to patrol the system. Seven hours after arriving in the system, the Claw launched the Killer Bees Squadron, consisting of Alpha Wing and Beta Wing, as its next patrol shift.

The Alpha Wing patrol was flown by Carl T. LaFong and Mariko Tanaka. The mission consisted of a three point patrol mission of three jump points. During the mission, they encountered three Dralthi and two Salthi fighters and two asteroid fields.

Another series of patrols is flown by Christopher Blair and Spirit as well.

2654

TCS Tiger's Claw launched Epsilon Wing, consisting of Carl T. LaFong and Mariko Tanaka, to escort a Drayman transport to its jump-point.

Despite having to escort the transport around a asteroid field and encountering three Dralthi and two Salthi Kilrathi fighters, the transport still jumped on schedule.

2654

TCS Tiger's Claw jumped into the McAuliffe System. For several hours following this, the Claw launched a series of preliminary patrols of the system. Two of these patrols were Beta Wing, which consisted of Blue Devil Squadron pilots Carl T. LaFong and James Taggart, and Delta Wing, which consisted of pilots Michael Casey and Jeannette Devereaux. Beta Wing's mission was a four point route checking several potential jump points. During this mission, Beta Wing encountered three Dralthi and three Salthi fighters. They were also forced to navigate a Kilrathi mine field.

Following this mission, the Tiger's Claw's scanners began showing an increase in Kilrathi activity in the system, including several large bogies. The Confederation was getting ready for a major offensive at this time and was sending several tankers and transports to rendezvous with the Claw within the following 48 hours. This forced Colonel Peter Halcyon to dispatch several wings to deal with the bogies. One of these wings was Theta Wing, which consisted of Carl T. LaFong and James Taggart. They were sent to investigate a large bogey, which turned out to be an Ralari-class destroyer, that had jumped in about twenty minutes previously, 90,000 klicks away and began heading for the Claw. During the mission LaFong and Taggart encountered four Dralthi, two Krant, and the Ralari, which they managed to destroy.

2654

Six Confederation transports and tankers were due to jump into the McAuliffe System and rendezvous with the TCS Tiger's Claw as part of the preparations for a major confederation offensive against the Kilrathi. But with a Kilrathi carrier in the system, the Claw was expecting the Kilrathi to make a play for the transports so Colonel Peter Halcyon launched several wings of fighters to protect the ships. One such wing was Psi Wing, which consisted of Blue Devil Squadron pilots Carl T. LaFong and James Taggart. Their mission was to rendezvous with a Drayman tanker at its jump point and escort it to the Tiger's Claw. They accomplished this mission, in the process encountering four Krant and three Salthi fighters. One of the Salthi fighters was flown by Kilrathi ace Bhurak nar Caxki whom LaFong managed to shoot down.

Also on 2654.132, a platoon of Kilrathi marines attacked the Terran Research Colony on McAuliffe VI. There they meet a group of desperate and resourceful terran scientists. Armed with improvised weapons the scientists managed to capture the entire Kilrathi platoon.

2654

TCS Tiger's Claw jumped into the Gateway System. Upon arriving, the Claw launched several wings to preform preliminary patrols of the system. These wings included Alpha Wing, Beta Wing, Delta Wing which consisted of pilots Carl T. LaFong and James Taggart, Epsilon Wing which cosisted of pilots Jeannette Devereaux and Michael Casey, and Gamma Wing. Delta Wings mission was a three-point point patrol flying through three nav points to make sure they were clear. During the mission, LaFong and Taggart encountered two Gratha and four Salthi Kilrathi fighters and an asteroid field.

During that missions debriefing, Colonel Peter Halcyon remarked that the patrols had discovered a serious Kilrathi presence in the system. This proved to be very true as a few hours later a Code Red was sounded on the Claw. At an emergency briefing, the pilots learned that a wave of Kilrathi fighters were incoming. Worse still, Blue Devil Squadron and Star Slayer Squadron were still out on patrols, leaving only the pilots of the Killer Bees Squadron to defend the Claw. With a few Hornet fighters already in space defending the Claw, Kappa Wing, which consisted of Carl T. LaFong and James Taggart, launched to aid in the defense. Kien Chen, "Dragon", Michael Casey, and "Redbird" were set to launch after Kappa Wing. But with LaFong's and Taggart's assistance, the defending fighters were able to fend off the eight attacking Kilrathi Dralthi fighters before any other wings had a chance to launch.

2654

TCS Tiger's Claw was in the Gateway System awaiting the arrival of several transports and tankers. Due to a failed Kilrathi attack on the Claw the previous day, on 2654.133, Colonel Peter Halcyon ordered several wings to rendezvous with the ships and to be especially vigilant in their defense as they escorted them to the Claw. One such wing was Sigma Wing, which consisted of Carl T. LaFong and James Taggart. In the process of defending the Drayman tanker, LaFong and Taggart encountered two Gratha and three Salthi Kilrathi fighters.

2654

TCS Tiger's Claw jumped into the Gimle System as part of a Confederation offensive, which included several other battleships, into the Kilrathi controlled system. Upon arriving, the Tiger's Claw dispatched several wings of fighters to help defend the other confederation battleships, which were already under attack from the defending Kilrathi forces. One such wing was Zeta Wing, consisting of Carl T. LaFong and Jeannette Devereaux, whose mission was the defense of an Exeter-class Destroyer. During this mission, Zeta Wing encountered three Jalthi and four Salthi fighters.

Following this, the Tiger's Claw launched several patrols into the Gimle System. One such patrol was Omicron Wing, consisting of LaFong and Devereaux, whose mission was a three-point patrol route. Under orders from Confederation brass, who wanted the new Rapier II fighters tested in action, Omicron Wing flew Rapier II fighters for the patrol. During the mission, Omicron Wing encountered four Dralthi and two Gratha fighters and an asteroid field.

Next, the Tiger's Claw detected several groups of bogies on the move in the Gimle System. Believing them to be squadrons of enemy fighters, Colonel Peter Halcyon dispatched five wings of fighters to investigate the bogies and destroy them if possible. One such wing was Tau Wing, consisting of LaFong and Devereaux. Upon reaching their bogie, Tau Wing encountered two wings of Dralthi fighters (nine fighters total). The second wing was led by Kilrathi ace Dakhath nar Sihkag, whom LaFong managed to shoot down.

Finally, the Tiger's Claw jumped to the Brimstone System with mission to scout the system for a possible Confederation invasion. The Claw began a heavy patrol schedule in order to gather intelligence on the strength of the Kilrathi presence in the system. The first patrol launched was Alpha Wing, which consisted of Carl T. LaFong and Todd Marshall. They flew a three-point patrol and encountered three Gratha, two Krant, and one Salthi fighter. They also were forced to navigate an asteroid field.

2654

The Confederation began gearing up for a major assault on the Kilrathi bases located on the planet Brimstone II in the Brimstone System. Confederation headquarters began dispatching several warships to join the TCS Tiger's Claw, which had already arrived in the system. The Claw launched several wings of fighters to rendezvous with these ships at their jump-points and escort them back to the Tiger's Claw. One such wing was Theta Wing, which consisted of Carl T. LaFong and Todd Marshall. Theta Wing's mission was to escort an Exeter-class Destroyer back to the Claw. During the mission, Theta Wing encountered four Dralthi and four Salthi fighters and had to navigate an asteroid field.

2654

The Confederation had the Kilrathi controlled planet, Brimstone II in the Brimstone system, blockaded. Due to the blockade, the planet had became desperate for munitions and supplies. To aid them, the Empire of Kilrah dispatched dozens of Dorkir transports to the system, hoping a few would manage to slip through the blockade. The TCS Tiger's Claw dispatched several wings of fighters to intercept these transports. One such wing was Rho Wing, which consisted of Carl T. LaFong and Todd Marshall. Rho Wing encountered two Jalthi and four Krant fighters, one of which was flown by Kilrathi ace Khajja nar Ja'targk, and a lone Dorkir transport. Tactical later reported that the transport was carrying Ground-to-Space Missiles.

Following this, as terran fighters gained superiority in space above Brimstone II, a band of terran saboteurs attacked a major Kilrathi military installation on the planet. With its destruction, the Kilrathi's strategic hold on the Brimstone System was broken.

Later in the Chengdu System, the Tiger's Claw received a distress call from Yellow Jacket Squadron pilot "Valkyrie". She had got a fix on a Ralari-class Destroyer but had come under attack from four Krant fights en-route back to the Claw. The Claw dispatched Epsilon Wing, which consisted of LaFong and Jeannette Devereaux, to escort her back to the Claw. While on this mission, Epsilon Wing also encountered the Ralari-class Destroyer.

Next, the Tiger's Claw dispatched Iota Wing, consisting of LaFong and Devereaux, to escort an Exeter-class Destroyer, which was on its way to the Ymir System, to its jump-Point. During the mission, Iota Wing encountered six Dralthi and four Salthi fighters and was forced to navigate an asteroid field.

Finally, six Gratha launched an attack on the Tiger's Claw. The Kilrathi fighters managed to destroy one of the two defending Hornet fighters before the Claw could sound Code Red and launch reinforcements. With only the Killer Bees Squadron available, the Claw launched LaFong and Devereaux as Omicron Wing. Ian St. John and "Redbird" were launched shortly after. Todd Marshall and "Turtle" were next to launch, but the threat was eliminated before they had the chance to launch.

2654

TCS Tiger's Claw and several medical transports began arriving in the Dakota System. Their mission was to render aid to the planet Fargo, which was suffering from a outbreak of Watson's Disease. The Tiger's Claw was ordered to provide primary cover for the medical transports, which were heading to and from the planet.

One such mission was Gamma Wing, flown by Carl T. LaFong and Joseph Khumalo. Gamma Wing escorted a Drayman carrying medical supplies to its jump to Fargo, then rendezvoused with a second Drayman carrying the valuable Watson's Disease vaccine and escorted it back to the Claw. During this mission, Gamma Wing encountered three three Jalthi, Krant, five Salthi Kilrathi fighters.

Following this, the Tiger's Claw launched several patrol wings to investigate why the Kilrathi presence had become so quite in the system. One such wing was Lambda Wing, flown by LaFong and Khumalo. During their three-point patrol mission, they encountered a Ralari-class Destroyer, two Gratha fighters and six Krant fighters. They were also forced to navigate a pair of asteroid fields.

Next, Xi Wing reported that a Kilrathi supply convoy was heading into the Tiger's Claw's attack range. The Claw launched Epsilon Wing, consisting of LaFong and Khumalo, to destroy it. The convoy consisted of two Dorkir troop transports, escorted by Kilrathi ace Bakhtosh nar Kiranka, and one Dorkir tanker. The pair also encountered five Krant and two Jalthi fighters.

Finally, the Tiger's Claw jumped to the Port Hedland System. Shortly after arriving, the Claw launched several wings on various missions. Two of these wings were Alpha Wing and Eta Wing. Eta Wing's mission, flown by LaFong and Khumalo, was the escort of a Drayman transport carrying vital supplies. During this mission, the pair encountered three Gratha and four Jalthi Kilrathi fighters.

2654

TCS Tiger's Claw launched Xi Wing on a four-point patrol mission of the Port Hedland System. During this mission, flown by Carl T. LaFong and Joseph Khumalo, the Terran Confederation had its first encounter with the Empire of Kilrah's new capital ship, the Fralthi-class Cruiser. LaFong and Khumalo also encountered three Dralthi and two Gratha Kilralthi fighters and were forced to navigate a Kilrathi mine field and an asteroid field.

In Vidroom 3775, Deck C aboard TCS Tiger's Claw, the last of four Terran Confederation Service Organization shows was performed. The show featured normal and zero-g dancers, singers, comedians, cyberlink illusionists and an appearance by Saranya Carr. A holovid was recorded for the ship's library.

2654

While in the Port Hedland System, the TCS Tiger's Claw recieved an Code Red alert that all Terran Confederation ships in the system, including the Tiger's Claw herself, were under Kilrathi attack. The Tiger's Claw quickly dispatched all her fighter wings in an effort to defend these ships, leaving Blue Devil Squadron to defend the Tiger's Claw.

The last wing to launch was Sigma Wing, flown by Carl T. LaFong and Joseph Khumalo. The pair first assisted in the defense of the Claw from four Jalthi fighters. They then rendezvoused with an Exeter-class Destroyer and defended it from four Gratha fighters. Then they launched an attack on a Fralthi-class Cruiser and its four Krant fighter escort.

After this, following the Terran Confederation's defeat of the Empire of Kilrah's forces in the Port Hedland System, the planet Hurricane's planetary defenses fended off a last-ditch Kilrathi assault.

2654

TCS Tiger's Claw arrived in the Kurasawa System as part of a Terran Confederation offensive against the Empire of Kilrah controlled system. In response to this incursion, the Kilrathi began trying to ferry troops and supplies to the Kilrathi bases in the system, which were vital to Kilrathi command and communication throughout the Vega Sector, in a desperate effort to defend them.

The Tiger's Claw launched several of its best aces to hunt down and destroy these incoming transports. These pilots included, Carl T. LaFong, Ian St. John, Kien Chen, and Michael Casey. The last wing launched was Theta Wing, flown by LaFong and Chen. Their mission was a strike on three Dorkir-class Transports, one of which was a Kilrathi command staff ship. The pair also encountered five Dralthi, two Jalthi and three Krant fighters.

2654

The Terran Confederation was continuing its ongoing offensive against the Empire of Kilrah's forces in the Kurasawa System. Some of the events that occurred in the Kurasawa System on this date were:

2654

TCS Tiger's Claw, which was in the Kurasawa System as part of the Terran Confederation's offensive against the Empire of Kilrah's forces in the system, received a tight band transmission from the Exeter-class Destroyer TCS Formidable. The ship was in rough shape as it had just came from a scrap with the enemy and needed an escort to the Tiger's Claw. Ian St. John and "Waxman" were originally given the escort assignment but Carl T. LaFong requested the mission as he had served aboard the Formidable during his Academy days.

Chi Wing, flown by LaFong and Kien Chen, was then launched and rendezvoused with the Formidable. During the trip back to the Tiger's Claw, Chi Wing encountered six Dralthi and four Krant Kilrathi fighters.

2654

TCS Tiger's Claw was dispatched to the Rostov System with the mission to defend the system, its natives, and its resources from the Empire of Kilrah. The Rostov System contains a profusion of mineral rich asteroids which attracted the Kilrathi.

As a first step in this mission, the Tiger's Claw launched a series of reconnaissance patrols to gauge the enemies strength in the system. The first one of these patrols was Gamma Wing, flown by Carl T. LaFong and Michael Casey. The pair navigated a series of asteroid fields and encountered a Dorkir-class Transport carrying supplies, two Dralthi and six Gratha fighters.

2654

TCS Tiger's Claw was dispatched to the Hubble's Star System. Its mission was to defend the system's colonists from the Kilrathi.

The Tiger's Claw launched several patrols into the system. The first patrol was flown by Ian St. John and "Flashfire". Kappa Wing, flown by Carl T. LaFong and Kien Chen, was launched next as backup for the first patrol.

During their patrol of several of the systems jump-points, Kappa Wing encountered two Dorkir-class Supply Ships, three Dralthi, four Krant and a Ralari-class Destroyer. They were also forced to navigate an mine field.

2654

TCS Tiger's Claw, which was running dangerously low on fuel, was continuing its defense of the Hubble's Star System from a Kilrathi strike force.

The Terran Confederation dispatched several tankers to the system, in order to assist the Tiger's Claw. Expecting the Kilrathi to attempt to destroy these ships, the Tiger's Claw launched several fighters to escort these tankers from their jump-points to the Claw. Omicron Wing, consisting of Carl T. LaFong and Kien Chen, were sent to escort the first pair of tankers. Ian St. John was ordered to take the last detail.

Omicron wing launched and rendezvoused with Drayman Alpha and Drayman Beta at their jump-point and escorted the tankers back to the Claw. Along the way, the pair encountered four Dralthi and four Gratha fighters.

2654

The Kilrathi attacked the Terran Confederation colony of Hubble's Star IV in the Hubble's Star System. The TCS Tiger's Claw, which had been dispatched to the system a few days prior, launched most of her fighters to aid in the planet's defense.

However, a short time later the Claw sounded a Code Red. A flight of bogies had jumped into the system 50,000 klicks away from the Claw and had then disappeared into a nearby asteroid field.

The Claw dispatched Phi Wing, consisting of Carl T. LaFong and Kien Chen, to investigate the bogies and preform a quick strike if possible.

The pair launched and encountered three Krant fighters in the asteroid field. But upon returning to the Claw, the pair discovered that the bulk of the force, four Gratha and two Jalthi, had doubled back and were attacking the Claw. LaFong and Chen quickly joined the fight and aided in the defense of the Tiger's Claw.

2654

The following operations were conducted by the TCS Tiger's Claw:

  • In the Hell's Kitchen System, the Tiger's Claw launched several fighters to escort a number of transports arriving in the system. One such wing was Beta Wing, flown by Christopher LaFong and Ian St. John. The mission was the escort of a Drayman-class Transport, loaded with refugees from the Chengdu System, from its jump-Point to the Tiger's Claw. During the mission, Beta wing would encounter four Gratha, five Krant, and four Salthi fighters.

2654

The following operations were conducted by the TCS Tiger's Claw:

  • The investigation of several bogies in the Hell's Kitchen System. One such mission was Theta Wing, flown by Carl T. LaFong and Ian St. John. Their bogey turned out to be a Fralthi-class Cruiser with an escort of six Gratha fighters. The pair also encountered three Salthi fighters and navigated a mine field.
  • On Rostov III, as the Kilrathi fleet was fleeing from the Rostov System, a handful of Kilrathi marines were stranded on the planet. These marines were then captured by the native Mopoks.

2654

The following operations were conducted by the TCS Tiger's Claw:

2654.287

2654.325

On the final day of the offensive in Vega Sector, the following events took place:

  • The Tiger's Claw and the TCS Kyoto launched a coordinated attack on a Fralthi-class Destroyer in the Venice System. This attack consisted of Nu Wing, flown by Carl T. LaFong and Ian St. John, from the Tiger's Claw and Foxtrot Wing from the Kyoto. During the mission, the fighters also encountered four Gratha, four Krant and four Salthi fighters and navigated a asteroid field. Also due to this mission, Tactical was able to pinpoint the location of the Kilrathi High Command's starbase in the system since the Fralthi was in constant contact with the base during the battle.
  • After pinpointing the location of the starbase in the Venice System, the Tiger's Claw launched several wings of fighters to protect her as she moved into position to strike the base. One of these wings was Phi Wing, flown by LaFong and St. John. During their mission, the pair encountered two Dralthi, four Gratha, two Jalthi, and a Ralari-class Destroyer. They also were forced to navigate a mine field.
  • The Tiger's Claw launched several wings of the Black Lion Squadron to attack the Kilrathi High Command's Star Post. One such wing was Omega Wing, flown by LaFong and St. John. The pair successively destroyed the star post. They also encountered a Fralthi-class Cruiser, four Krant, four Gratha, four Jalthi, and four Salthi and navigated a mine field.
  • Following this mission, the Terran Confederation defeated the remaining Kilrathi military power in the Vega Sector. After this, the Tiger's Claw moved in for the kill and the last remaining Kilrathi planet in the Vega Sector fell. This ended the Vega Sector Campaign.

2654.326

  • The Terran colony of Goddard sends out a distress call reporting an imminent Kilrathi attack; soon afterwards, all contact is lost with the colony. The Confederation fleet scrambles all of the nearest vessels to rush to Goddard's defense.

The Tiger's Claw launches Alpha Wing to escort the TCS Hickok to the Goddard jump point, flown by Carl T. LaFong and Ian St. John. After the Hickok reaches the jump point, Alpha Wing escorts the TCS Marciano back to the Tiger's Claw.

The Tiger's Claw launches Kappa Wing, flown by LaFong and Ian St. John to intercept a Dorkir-Class Troopship outside of the Goddard System. Beta Wing, flown by Mariko Tanaka and Todd Marshall, is also launched to intercept Kilrathi vessels in the Claw's vicinity. Kappa Wing successfully destroys the Dorkir. The Tiger's Claw then jumps to Goddard.

The Confederation fleet arrives at Goddard, only to find that the colony is completely destroyed. 250,000 Terran colonists are dead, and every standing structure on the planet has been destroyed. A Terran marine force conducts a search for survivors, but there are none to be found.

2654.328

  • Operation Thor's Hammer begins; the Tiger's Claw is to pursue the Kilrathi strike force into enemy territory and destroy the vessel carrying the new Kilrathi superweapon rumored to have destroyed Goddard. Epsilon Wing, flown by LaFong and Jeannette Devereaux, is launched to clear the Claw's entry into Kilrathi territory. During the mission, they succeed in destroying a Fralthi-Class Cruiser. They are later sent out to escort the Sleipnir Convoy to the Claw, which is carrying a contingent of the Reavers to assist in the operation.

2654.330

  • The Tiger's Claw arrives in the Midgard System. High Command reports that the TCS Falstaff, a Terran courier ship, has been captured by the Kilrathi with vital battlefield intelligence. Delta Wing, flown by LaFong and Kien Chen, is deployed to destroy the Falstaff before the Kilrathi can interpret its classified cargo. They succeed in destroying the Falstaff before it reaches the safety of Kilrathi space.

2654.331

  • The Reavers capture an intact Dralthi Light Fighter. Gamma Wing is launched to escort it to the Tiger's Claw, and is flown by LaFong and Kien Chen. The Dralthi arrives safely, and Gamma Wing succeeds in destroying a Ralari.

2654.333

  • Beta Wing, flown by LaFong and Spirit, is launched to escort the last surviving Drayman carrying the Reavers back to the Tiger's Claw in the Jotunheim System. The vessel arrives safely despite enemy interception.

2654.350

  • A Kilrathi strike force is detected in an asteroid field; it is presumed that they are planning to ambush the Tiger's Claw. The Claw takes the bait and launches Alpha Wing, flown by LaFong and Spirit, to intercept the enemy ambush. They destroy a Dorkir and its escorts, as well as a Fralthi.
